Very interesting analysis of the exposition of this piece, and certainly gives food for thought when listening to the rest of it. I believe any music can be enjoyed from a purely abstract musical perspective, but at the same time it can be rewarding to analyze it and think about its extramusical meanings. That so much of Beethoven's music seems to express triumph over struggle makes it so inspiring.
