Looks like an amazing trip, even in spite of a sub-optimal end! And I have no doubt you'll come back stronger than ever, next time you'll rip the holds off the wall rather than the pulley 😆
Sick video! Any adice for bouldering in groups? I climb solo 95% of the time, and I although I like being able to brainstorm, I feel like I am forced to move on from climbs too early or climb things I'm not psyched on to appease the people I'm with
Thank you so much! Oh completely understand man! I also climb solo most of the time. But it depends on how long your trip is. If it’s a day trip, try to plan out with your buddies what climbs you’ll hit and try to stick to the plan. You can always meet back up later too! If it’s a trip, then it could always be one day is “your” day and the next is your friends and alternate. Or just have multiple sessions. Like morning be yours, afternoon be there’s if the climbs are different
How I do it: I start the day just hanging out with the rest of the group, until I've found something I want to work on, or if I have a project, I spend time with the group while warming up. Then after that I will go to the project and just spend time on my own working the moves. If I feel ready for send goes but it's sketchy without a spotter, I will ask someone to spot me, and in between attempts I will spot them or hang out where they are climbing. I always make sure there are enough pads so it's no problem if I keep a few for myself.
nice band !

@@Ian_climbs Splitting days is a good idea! Thank you. I guess who ever is climbing doesn't have to carry pads then :)
I mean for the most part yea! But usually I want as much foam as possible so we all carry pads but whoever is climbing gets to carry extra pads😂
