I miss being able to change the settings without pausing it drives me nuts on my new machine. also sometimes when you change them it starts the whole section again
Can you do a lot of videos of this machine including a full cycle please I really like it Matt and did you know my grandparents used to have that machine and then around 4 or 5 years ago it died and now they have a fisher and paykel front load fabricsmart
When soak is selected Matt your washer will soak for a period of 2hours at the end of the wash cycle before rinsing commences during soak your washer will agitate for a few seconds every minute the soak time will be shortened to 1 hour if save time is selected
You are supposed to take the mesh lint catcher out before putting the powder in the machine😮. Mine never floats or has to be weighed down, it just needs to be pushed down firmly.
Hey, you know how you bypassed the lid switch, do you stick the magnet in where the lid switch is screwed into or do you do it another way for the machine to recognise the lid is shut as i see something is taped on the top deck as i managed to acquire a IWL10NZ which has the eco active so it's the model up from this!
@@lukekneebone9831 hey Luke! So it’s just a small magnet that I took out of the lid. On the right side of the lid underneath u will see an area that’s bigger. Inside that is a magnet 🧲 All you need to do is find another small magnet like a fridge magnet or similar and place it in the right place and it will work. Pretty much exactly where I’ve taped the magnet down is where it needs to be :-)
@@mattie17 just to clarify this, did you unscrew the lid switch from where it's mounted underneath where you lift the top deck up and then took the magnet out of the plastic part of the "reed switch" is what they sometimes called it in the service manuals?
@@lukekneebone9831 I just took the magnet out of the lid and taped it to the part of the wash deck where it activates. I didn’t touch anything under the hood of the washer
I love how aggressive the agitation gets. Shame they don’t make these anymore. I also liked the fabricsmart model that was similar to the last intuitive. The current models are just have more cycles compared to washsmart range. However I much prefer the earlier models from the 90’s and early 2000’s.
@@patcola7335 they still do just not in the US we have close to 10 models all though there very old (I think from around 2012 -2016 depending on the model) and they haven’t updated them at all apart from putting there new logo on the front
@@maxd4968 A few years back I saw one of the newer larger capacity models with the wash plate. An aquasmart? They may still have them available in some smaller retail privately owned businesses. The one I saw had a metal top and lid.

Amazing and the intermediate spin was balanced great job

Is that a direct drive as it sound like an lg ramping up
Yep, all fisher and paykel are direct drive :-)
Not all of them the Gentle Annies were belt driven
@@ryderearlesroblox8620 that’s very true!
@@mattie17 when did you get this washing machine?
They invented the lg style motor in the early nineties

it sounded like a LG slowing down for the spin
Same motor design
@@LoganT547so this has a LG direct drive motor if it does that's cool
@@tyronlemons5203No the motor is a standard brushless DC motor, and F&P has had this direct drive design since the late 80s
Nice

P.S I love the sound of the take off to 1000rpm. Reminds me so much of my nan’s old Fisher and Paykel. Wished she still had it.
Don't know why Haier didn't continue making the top loaders.....such a shame F&P and GE appliances sold out to them..
Yeah the sound of acceleration to 1100RPM on this machine sounds really nice 😄
