Beautiful , I think even though we have alcohol Inks now ,the look you created is more 3 D because of tearing makes it more dramatic look almost like a Mosaic,Just Unique, and much more dramatic then just using inks. Thank you.

Thank you! The alcohol inks are more transparent. For a look more mosaic like, you need something more opaque, so the acrylic paints are a better choice. As for the tearing, it's all in the way you tear. If you do it the way I showed, it's more of a diagonal section so the white underneath shows better.

I like it! Can you keep veneers rolled up in wax paper for a long period of time without it 'cracking up on you' ?? Doing it this way, helps the storage problem, if ya know what I mean. thank you for sharing your project with us.

I started doing this after some cracked on me that were stored on flat sheets. It was driving me nuts, all those pretty designs I wanted to keep and they were worth of nothing but scrap now! So far it's been 2 months since I started and the ones that I stored that way didn't crack on me. I take the rolled up paper first and kind of gently rub it between my palms for a few minutes before unrolling.

Did you roll the veneers between 2 pieces of wax paper?
