It’s actually claudia not god
@@morshu8027 well the specific form is God
@@morshu8027 No it is god. Claudia was eaten while giving birth to it.
Funny how the Raw Shocks didn't count.
My Thank You
That's not always Mary. If you ignore Maria for long enough, you eventually see her as the obsessed ghost she is and she'll become vengeful that you reject her.
The official final boss is Maria, you only fight Mary if you aim for the Maria ending, otherwise it’s always Maria because Maria is he manifestation of James’ guilt and he must overcome it in order to move on.
@@blindfollower So what does it represent when u fight Mary?
@blindfollower Actually, I believe it's always supposed to be Maria. In the ending where you fight "Mary" that's just another Maria pretending to be Mary so James will accept her in the end. Since we see Maria die over and over its safe to assume that there are multiple, just like there are multiple of every other monster made by the town
The way I see it, Maria is the manifestation of James's escapism from Mary's fate. The town conjured up a Mary lookalike who is prettier and younger that feeds James's escapism. Whereas Mary was sick and disfigured, Maria is healthy and beautiful. In all other endings, James accepts Mary's fate and the role he played in it hence the last hurdle is Maria representing his denial. But if James feeds into his escapism and denial in the Maria ending, the last hurdle is Mary who represents the last remnant of the truth in his mind.
First boss battle music is terrible and disturbing.
Is it supposed to be beautiful and relaxing? Lol
Especially because the camera is fixed and you can see very well 😭
That's what was so great about it. Terrifying, disturbing and difficult.
In silent hill, everything including the music is supposed to be scary
It's been played like at x3 speed, probably because the game is being (badly) emulated. SH1 music is very raw and based in distortion, and it's IMO the most effective of the games in creating tension, but here just sounds awful. It hurts my soul that people experience the game in that crappy conditions and they're not even aware.
One of the biggest regrets I have is selling all my Silent Hill games. To this day I still love them :).
*Oof*
stevie gilliam yep.... :(. I’ll get them back someday.
Have you ever heard of emulators?
@@egontokessy1610 only sh1 to 4 are with collecting.not the HD remake. The rest is rest
@Longdale Pringle haha 😂
Homecoming wasn't great but it had some of the best boss designs in the series.
Scarlett boss scared the shit out of me
True. If you took the art director of 5 and put him on a team to remake 1, it would be glorious.
It also has a lot of symbolism, as the more over the top and longer parts of the body of some of the bosses represent how they are supposed to be sacrificed.
@@B1g_B0sssss Yeah there definitely is some symbolism relating to the bosses of Homecoming but my biggest gripe with that game is how much it lacks having a psychological storyline and focus on being much more of an action game with no substance to the plot. The monsters Alex fights literally has no personal connection to the main character whatsoever and I think it would’ve made the bosses interesting if they’d added a psychological element that the bosses he fights are actually his friends that he knows which would’ve given more emotional impact to the game but they didn’t. Such deep potential wasted.
@@InsurgentHarbinger yeah i agree.
Fun fact: silent hill wouldn't be so scary if it didn't have any sound.
Not true but mkay
The sound is a big part of what make silent hill scary but it still creeped me out without any sound. I just finished the game recently with most of my gameplay lacked any sound because I was playing in the living room and had to turn off the sound system. It’s safe to say that it still managed to scare me with no sound at all
@Lindsay Ancheta actually they are done awfully on purpose, it makes it so the enemies catch you off guard
@Lindsay Ancheta oh hell yeah, I loved that
@Lindsay Ancheta
Dark Souls is overrated.
Surely I'm not the only one that gets strong 'Gyo' (Junji Ito) vibes from the boss at 14:40?
Expand eli Face
The ultimate form of the Gyo machines
I KNEW IY WASNT ONLY ME OMG. i kept thinking of that dude's gf when i saw it, but i thought it was just me freaking out because i love junji 😭
Such missed potencial with homecoming and downpour... I like them but... You know... They could have been great
Homecoming was good what do you mean /:
Downpour is kinda shit cause there isn’t lots of monsters but VOID chases instead which is kinda sad ):
The Japanese seem to get something that they put into their horror that we just don't seem get, something psychological. that comes from their own societal baggage, I guess.
I remember really struggling with god because I had low ammo and health lol. Had to manage with the katana. That plus the janky controls and it was a rough time. But I really did enjoy silent hill 3 anyways.
It was my brothers favorite one too because of heather. It was refreshing to play a angsty teen girl in a video game when most games I had then were macho men with an arsenal of guns or w/e
A girl was playing silent hill? Awesome
Mary: James.....
James:
Mary: James.....
James: *pew*
Funny how Silent Hill Shattered Memories had no monsters or bosses.
That's because it was shattered
When You're Gone is great, at least.
It had monsters. Just no bosses.
The game has no combat system, how would it have a boss?
@@blindfollower True.
Homecoming boss was the most disturbing one.
Yeah.. wtf was her design supposed to symbolize?
@@imjustapancake3188 his mother
@@imjustapancake3188 i think it was supposed to symbolize 3 things : his mother (as pointed out by other comments), the fact that his brother drown (the tubes and the liquid ?) as well as his fear of spiders.
My favorite one is from Silent Hill 4.
The atmosphere, the music and the boss battle itself...a masterpiece.
imagine if u had to fight all of these final bosses all at once
God on Extreme 10 was already a disaster. All at once is wild
I really wish that Konami would have went to Castlevania route on this. For Castlevania had the toughest final bosses I've ever seen in a video game
You should play sekiro or jedi fallen order
Silent Hill 4 had the hardest final boss in the series.
Yeah because you're on a time limit
Walter is easy, try kill God in SH3 on Extreme X. Every hit is critical and you can't use Ampoules(bosses sense your stamina and if you use Ampoule they get a speed bonus). It's even funny, because on Extreme X regular enemies are more dangerous than bosses, like Dogs and Slurpers. If they grab, you are dead.
@@xXSalvinXxi remember beating Extreme 10 because learning the strife was actually something

Mmmmmm.
My favorite music
First Final Boss in the Video:
Me: *wtf*, bitch, this ain't no Final Fantasy and shit.
I've completed every Silent Hill game except Origins (don't have it yet), and the Walter Sullivan fight is something else. Trying to beat him AND save Eileen on your first playthrough is a nightmare.
Just realized the spinning wheel thing is straight from da bible
I can't hear the theme of the first boss without think in Sonic.exe wtf.....
Silent hill "fans": WAIT what do you mean pyramid head is not a final boss and just a one time event monster that does make sense outside SH2!?
"One time event" - Literally a reflection of James's guilt and pain, not only for killing his wife, but for watching her gradual death and hating her.
"Which makes sense outside of SH2" as a marketing ploy for Homecoming because he became one of the first monsters that people think of when they hear SH
Best villain walter sullivan
Silent Hill never really got the hang of bosses
14:40 the only silent hill boss that freaks me out
Silent Hill 3 has the best final boss imo. The most atmospheric and intimidating without giving off cheap design vibes. It's kind of the last good one.
These games are crazy
6:00 that's just the thing from Event Horizon that improved space travel wtf
I might be wrong but it could meant to represent Ophanim from the bible
sh1 had 2 possible final bosses you missed the angel. also missed sh shatterrd memories
Shattered memories doesn’t have any boss battles
Amnion was the best final boss in Silent Hill History.
She is so freaking terifying.
I realy love what they did with the boss in this game.
The monster design in this game is top tier
0:00 omg no way the illusion music from sonic.exe
Silent hill will be back?
We will know in 2 days

H los silent hill orphan?
Which Silent Hill game do you think is the scariest?
The room for me. The way your room becoming possessed with crying babies in the wall was the most unsettling scene in that game for me.
Maybe the room isn’t the best but totally the scariest.
*Every one*
First.
Антон Пронин agreed, those grey child were scared me and I first played that game in 2008 after Dead Space. 4 and 1 are the scariest.
Missing most of the human form bosses!
Didn’t count the spin-offs, DLC or other side stories
Man no nothingness or dark side battles when online opens be the baddest
The first lesbian was incbus aka the devil
Is it me, or are most Silent Hill final bosses the easiest on the games?
Probably because by that point you have the best weapons in the game (The katana pretty much makes 3's final boss an absolute joke since you can stun lock the hell out of it lol)
Any of the bosses are easy honestly.
Presentation over gameplay basically
The first four games are excelent. The rest are just bad writing and using the same formula. Red Pyramid can only be seen by James! It is from James's mind! Red Pyramid shouldn't appear in Homecoming.
Is it me or I saw a event horizon reference?
Yes it is a reference
bruh silent hill 3 in my opinion has good boss music
Now I remember why I could hardly finish a Silent Hill game... it's really horrible and disturbing
They need to remake the silent hill games similar to how Resident Evil did it, they would make so much money
This comment aged like a fine wine
@@bromadmusic guess they listened to me 😂
But it should be the first one and Origins. The second is too soon.
Resident Evil make the same mistake.
Silent Hill: Downpour out of all the other games in the series presented in this video has the worst bosses and don’t have the most pleasant designs along with having a soulless storyline, Murphy’s entire motivation was unrealistic to be even believable. This certainly just proves that it is the worst game in the series and soundtrack was bad too because it didn’t have Yamaoka.
I used to think Henry was so hot... I've reconsidered
Nice deadly move ☠️☠️☠️
Silent hill 1: fucking terrifying beelzebub demon 😱
Silent hill 2: upside-down woman 😐
A *symbolic* upside down woman
God is the Devil. A imaginary Devil, but a Devil. So the tulpa or thought form takes the form of the Devil.
20th birthday 🎂🎉 of this game today
They totally didn't steal that from Even Horizon in Room.
And that thing from Event Horizon is taken from the biblical depictions of angels. Your point?
@@no.402 My point is that obviously Event Horizon the ship is rigged with Biblical imagery. But it's still a scientific interpretation. SH4 looks like it took it from EH, not gave the Bible it's own spin. It looks like a mechanism with a pool underneath. Exactly like in EH. Not Bible.
Silent hill did it better anyways.
The man was expressing his opinion, but SH was expressing more like a tribute than a blatant steal, much like Resident Evil took some ideas from George Romero Night from the Living Death from the 90's, even the soundtrack was quite similar. Taking inspiration from others doesn't mean you can't do your own thing...
@Rafesco Night of the Living Dead is not from the 90's. But from the 60's
Ultimate wolf style boss fight! Native American warrior thinks every one is silent hill crazy ? Or am I mistaken and you unlocked the characters and their end battles don't go their way aka chaos realm rules , so if you haven't fought them yet hit them over the head and be ware some ancients are not your friends.
alien and all boss duke nukem 3d
demons and all bosses of doom 2016
alien and all bosses of serious sam 3
👍👍👍
Did you forget the Silent Hill Mobile final bosses?
Main game, buddy, main game
@@bluesyrupgc4224still, those games in mobile are also main games
@@moiqtheplayerNo. They are not. And only Orphan is important. But you get to known what happened with the boat in Silent Hill 2 (when James is the old prison).
No book of memories?
That sh*t is not a silent hill
@@andres20193 yeah I agree with that. Just had to ask. I think the pachinko games better than that game
It is a side game, not a main one.
What do you mean “main game” there is no “side game”
Book of memories. Also pachinko and arcade.
@@Shibby4L Those are still main games my dude
@@michealmyers6938 book of memories and arcade are definitely spin off. If you search them they’re both referred to as spin offs. Pachinko is a slot machine exclusive to Japan.
@@michealmyers6938They are not. They are side games.
SH has the most boring boss fight ever...
Scarlet? DoublePyramid Head? The splithead?
@@waltuh11121 All of them.
@@Scrpius I can understand what you feel, in part, specially with silent hill 2, that final boss, Mary, it's such a crappy fight, there's not tension, no feedback whatsoever, Mary is easy to dodge and she can get fucked with shotgun really easily. Silent hill 1, it's a ps1 game, the first game of the saga, so you know, even with that i see it as a good boss: The unnerving and kinda bothering music playing, a dark horizon with a bloody metal floor, it's really cool. The boss can get kill without shooting a single bullet, that is really funnny lol.
Silent hill 3, simple boss, great design, it is only a challenge on the highest difficulty tho. Walter Sullivan is amazing, it's my favorite backstory on a villian, just tragic and unsettling, that game really has something, probably the fight has some criptic-horse-shit on it the first time, becouse of the cord and the spears, noneless, it's simple but it do what's needed.
Origins, that final boss is such a bruh moment, it a standard demon, is a good design but has nothing to add to the game.
Homecoming finally get ridded of that tank movement and change the combat mechanism, wich is cool, probably not the best choice for a horror game, but still a fresh air to me. The final boss, is not boring, the design, that ambience, the simbology behind it, all that makes it a great fight.
Downpour's final boss fight is just weird, in a good way, the backstory puts some weight to it, still, i don't know what to say about it xD It's different, something that i appreciate.
The thing is, silent hill is more about the ambiece, the story, the monsters, the simbology and the tragedy, combat is just an extra feature. That's how i see it.
Silent Hill is survivor horror, not a fucking RPG game like League of Legends.
