Your videos are always so friendly, real and easy to watch. Pam, you motivate me to go outside to do the most tedious of jobs in my garden, weeding! 🍃Watering is also a bit of a time consumer now that our weather is unseasonably hot! You are 'packing up your garden, 🍂🍁so to speak, and getting it ready for your icy, cold winter, 🥶and I am adding a 'plant lasagna' of compost, mulch and woodchips around all my plants, ready for the heat 🥵in Australia. 🐨🌻🌴🦘I adore all of your beautiful plants, and I like the way you leave the camera on while you garden and talk us through it.🌷 Thank you 😊🌺🌲💮🌸🦋
I am so happy to hear my videos motivate you to get out and enjoy your garden. When I am dragging my feet on a task it does get me going when I watch other videos of like minded gardeners. Sounds like a wise plant with the plant lasagna in preparation for the hot weather. I truly want to be more prepared for this next Spring to have less work then and to make the changes now with moving plants etc.
Good morning Pam! 😊 So satisfying! Okay fine… I need to do the same lol 😂 time to do some clean up and clean out. Honestly, I’m motivated to get it done because then I feel “free” to do other inside fun things…. Much like you ❤ we are kindred spirits Love the new picket fence! Have a wonderful day 🤗
It feels good to get it done, right? I have been enjoying the physical work, too much time spent at my desk lately and I need the exercise. I am enjoying this brief warm spell before real cold hits. I just don't enjoy being out in the really cold temps. Maybe I am just not acclimated to the cold yet.
they are so beautiful and the butterflies and hummingbirds love them. I hope to finish digging this on up as I have a perfect spot for it. I may just need to wet the area better and enlist my husbands help.
Thank you, I'm excited to see how it all turns out. I ended up planting a black hollyhock in the empty space, I think I will spread more seeds along the fence too, they should provide a place for the eye to stop without blocking the view. I like sharing my garden with passersby and so I don't want to keep them from enjoying the garden too.
I am glad you enjoyed it. This has been a strange but wonderful Autumn so far. We have snow on the long range prediction coming Monday but we know how that can change and from what I can see it won't be a lot. But it does tell me my days are numbered for getting plants moved and divided.
great video, thank you for sharing. it looks beautiful, and those roses are going to look great on the fence. hope you have a great day!!! the black knight is a beautiful butterfly bush i have one also.
I love Black Knight, it is a great variety and I hope to move it to another location that is perfect for it. I will give it a good soak and get my husbands help to dig it up.
We broke a limb on a Viburnam while moving a monster catalpa and chopped it up for propagation. They all look great. I bet some other things leafing out like hazelnuts would be great for late season cuttings also.
I hadn't thought of that but my Snowball Viburnum does need a cut back before heavy snows. I don't know that I want more but it would be fun to try and propagate it. I am trying to find spots for the roses I rooted still.

I thoroughly enjoyed the time watching your progress in the clean up..I loved hearing the background bird singing
Thank you, I love listening to the birds too. You just can't be sad when they sing for you.
So looking forward to our new butterfly bush over the coming years!
