I noted why in the video, but it’s because this will only be run for very short periods of time. If I was doing some sort of endurance or daily driver setup I’d likely have run it. Hope this helps!
Cause I believe you should stick with what your tuner wants and in my case that’s avcs. Unfortunately there is no aftermarket option for retaining avcs. Plus they may look plastic but I can assure you they are metal! Even the toothed part!
Oh I thought RCM had some. My apologies. I’ll have to revisit the options when I get to that part of the build. Keep up great videos and massive build. Love the details and explaining everything step by step. I’ve revisited many of your videos during my build. IAG transfer gears was a doozy on my end lol. But eventually got er done properly. Thanks again for everything.
@@FizzSTi702 man I really appreciate that! If I can help one person with some information that helps them with their build, then I have succeeded at my goal when I make these videos! We might do something in the future with fixed cam gears, but for now we are gonna try and take advantage of the dual avcs! Glad I could help on the transfer gears! That was a doosey for me too, but feel better knowing they are done!
It totally depends on what your end goals are! IAG came out with a new PPG synchro set that is pretty awesome, especially when a dogbox really is only a racing kinda thing considering the dog boxes are known for breaking because there is no gear lockouts. Very easy to money shift 1-2-1, 2-3-2, etc. Otherwise you could look at some super basic Carbon synchros, with some different gear ratios that may end up being much cheaper! I recommend transfer gears while your at it!
looks amazing
Spicy build love it bro
Thanks homie, I’m not doubt super pumped at this point! Now to get it in the car!
All those IAG goodies reason you didn’t go with there tensioner?

@@BigSkyBoosted I certainly didn’t catch that in the video 🤦🏼♂️
It’s explained somewhere around 8:30
Why not get rid of plastic cam gears and get some nice aftermarket ones?
