Check out the band Drums & Tuba.
Listen to Erika Stucky's version (with Jon Sass on tuba)
The tuba solo was off the charts. 😍
Never heard one before.
Look up Nat McIntosh, The Warrior Comes Out To Play. For contrast, Oystein Baadsvik, Ordner Seg.
Who knew brass was just as heavy as led!!!??
2:13
The double tounging in the bass brining it all home.

Holy shit, doing that with a 3 valve SP
Amo o som de vocês! Sou do Rio de Janeiro no Brasil.
That mic tho... All with a cable HAHAH must be additional 2kg :P
Ever heard of dpa? Can even go wireless :P
Is that the same Trumpet player from Lucky Chops? Seems to have the same mannerisms when playing that he does.
Volume on the drums need to be turned up MUCH higher.
That was exactly what I was thinking: the base-part was not in balance. Normally there's much more 'push'. Maybe it was the lack of base guitar foundation that brought drums a bit out of balance.
Maybe a tiny piece of reverb during post-edit would make the recording sound better. During indoor live performance there's enough reverb, which makes the tuba- and drum-foundation more continuous
Foda!!!
Jesùs Christé, that's so much better than the original.
Technically it's a sousaphone LOL
There's always that one guy
@@nat6639 yeah you're right, I even almost said "I hate to be that guy but"
technically we're all sousaphones. it's just impolite to mention it dude.
@@nothanks7752 why is that impolite I said it tongue in cheek Heck I even put lol on the end? Plus you just said we're all Sousa phones so you called me a walking tuba. I think that's impolite. Good lord people lighten up a little bit. It's a great song I'm a huge fan of brass against.
bad intonation sometimes......
AuroA Thank god your paying attention, you need to go guide them to be better players.
Really liked the video but decided not to see you live, thanks to the Bernie hat. It's really dumb to alienate half your audience. How much art is there in socialist societies? I will defend your 1st amendment rights, but I don't have to spend my money on it.
I thought the shed was locked up tight, but it looks like a tool escaped and found a keyboard. You should check their cover of a song called "Cult of Personality".
