From the Midwest in the US. You are in the land of my ancestors. I had the great privilege of visiting once several years ago. Your brogues are not nearly as pronounced as my Grandma Mac’s - but so lovely to listen to. Not sure how I stumbled upon you - but so very glad I did. Wishing you much joy.
It's a shame Willie is so good, & so happy with his drums!---The smell of garlic always makes me angry. I don't mind eating the foods with garlic in it, as long as I don't have to smell it.
My sprocker, when he comes in from a walk and is all wet and/or muddy, heads straight into the shower where he sits waiting for me to turn it on. Then by testing the heat of the water with his head, will only deign to go under the flow when the water is running warm!
She walks she...paints sheds....she makes pesto garlic...! Richard is a great neighbor to have on Sky, the shed looks great. Jack is having the time of his life on skye..😆
Watching with a cuppa hot chocolate today....so enjoyable. The shed looks amazing. Many drummers in my family, so I am on team Willie with that. Always a pleasure to watch Mr. J Spaniels enjoying his hike. I love Sarah's work but not sure about the logistics of getting one to Canada.
We ordered from Sarah mid-March, as soon as Royal Post opened International shipping again, and it was posted in Carbost 10 days later. We received it without incident here in Northeast Washington State within about 9 days
@@gerryhatrick6678 so very sorry to hear that Gerry! I know ordering coffee from Nelson BC requires the package to be sent to Los Angeles to be entered into Customs there as opposed to Seattle which seems to be logical to me
Will is really good on those drums, but poor Sarah and Jack Spaniels! We have tons of garlic where I live, so I shall be making pesto in the way you have Sarah, thanks for that! Looked sooo delicious. She is looking fabulous! xxx
Sometimes I almost feel like I'm living in Scotland as the weather changes here have been unreal the past week or so. Last week it was sunny and 80 degrees, 4 days ago there was snow and 60s, 2 days ago severe thunderstorms, today back down in the 30s..........brrrrrrrrrr its cold!! Your friend Richard scared the bejeezus outta me, climbing on that roof before the tin was added. I do so enjoy your walks Sarah, the beauty and serenity is beyond words! Keep practicing Willie, it'll come back to ya! Love you all 🥰💖🦴
Enjoying the progress of the shed but going with Sarah to gather wild garlic was soul soothing. In west Texas we cherish rain and water. Our annual rainfall is about 20 inches and often we don’t get that. It’s very dry. Seeing the water and watching the waterfalls made my heart sooo happy. And I love Jack Spaniels excitement for being!!!!!
Yeaa, I get to live the skye life vicariously thru my favorite trio! That made so much pesto; great value. Love a wet doggo in the mix. Be well from washington state USA ❤️
Sara, give Willie the recipe for making sourdough starter. UA-cam has a couple of easy recipes. He'll love it! I just realized the shed doesn't have a floor yet! Lol I was thinking you were almost finished.
Sara I can’t believe there was a primrose in the woods. Absolutely dropped my jaw when I saw that. Really really enjoyed you watching you forage for wild garlic in the woods. So pretty! Loved hearing the water. Wow, that’s a lot of garlic! I love how your supervisor is pointing out which ones to get.😂. Jack spaniels, standing in the water looking at you, just cracked me up. Sarah, I loved how careful you were and easy on the environment. Are there no animals out in the forest other than birds? I love the birdfeeder and the birds that you got I love listening to the birds. Such beautiful ones you have. The pesto looked fantastic! I loved the bloopers they were great😂😂😂😂
Almost done with the shed! Looks terrific! here I am at and no real transportation up the mountains, I have never tried ramps unfortunately, but we have the string wild garlic that looks like green inions I collect and dehydrate and use as a spice for many dishes. I do love the fresh taste! I am curious I don't know a lot about mosses and lichen but I know there are some that are edible, seeing how mush grows there I wondered while looking at your walk, if any of those were edible? I love the look Jack gives you! So adorable! I see your hesitant about the drums..lol I grew up with two brothers who loved to bang on anything that made a sound! oy ! Now they both play acoustic and electric guitar, keyboard, and drums ! I miss their jam session's! My one brother is finally moving back in a week and I hope to hear him play again, I wonder what my neighbors will think? lol
I've never been so invested in the building of a shed before... she's a cracker.... I look forward to next week's episode to see if Willie and Richard ( was he a roadie for Status Quo?? 😂😂 ) have got the floor done!? I await with great anticipation!!! P.s... I've ordered a couple of Sarah's prints to brighten up my hallway, and I have space for 4 more.... but I'm not rolling in cash, so I will order them in instalments ( I'm very excited!! ) Keep up the good work!! Fantastic viewing, showing that often the simplest things in life can bring the most enjoyment!! Not that you're simple... but your lifestyle is and has me hooked!! 😊
I’m so glad springtime has arrived in Skye. I was seriously worried you’d freeze to death. I can’t wait to see what adventures are coming now that the weather has begun to improve ❤
You two live quite remote, your neighbours are quite a ways away so I don't think they will hear (or be annoyed by) Willie's drumming but when they smell that pesto I think they may be flocking to your house :).
My husband makes enough pesto to share with friends. He uses pine nuts but has tried sunflower seeds too. Both are delicious. We use it all the time. I like to cut up a large batch of assorted green veggies with mushrooms and onions. I put it all in a very large, deep skillet and cook it on a gentle flame. When the veggies are almost cooked I add a bag of fresh spinach. I’ve also used frozen. The veggies are wonderful in omelets. We use it on tortellini and shrimp salad which we eat cold. I wish you two much joy in your life together. Your videos are a joy to watch. M.V.
yaaaassss rock and roll baby :-) Just wanted to drop in and say how much I'm loving your videos about life on the Isle of Skye! Your passion for the place really shines through in every episode and I'm always excited to see what adventures you have in store. The projects and video editing are top-notch, and I especially loved the recent episode where Sarah and Spaniel went foraging for wild garlic. I'd suggest they go for a dip together next time x I think it would be awesome to see Willie perform his favorite drum solo too! Keep up the great work and keep those videos coming!
Hello Willy and Sarah, Love the bloopers. I use to play the drums in a band when I was much younger at 51 I would probably hurt myself now kinda like Willy did. I with you could find wild garlic here in Texas but you can plant perennial garlic plants. Have a blessed day and take care. P.S. The shed looks great.
Just as well you moved to Skye imagine being in your old place and Willie playing his drums (one way of getting rid of your neighbours) ha ha. You did find wild spaniel by the name of Jack though. The wild garlic pesto looked delicious and 'Hey pesto' in a blink of an eye you have pesto. Love it. Have a lovely day Willie, Sarah and Jack spaniels.
The shed looks terrific so far, just the floor to go, amazing. Love the look of that garlic pesto, I don't think we have wild garlic like that here in Australia.
My father is also a get the job done "chainsaw carpenter". 😍The moss there!! So pretty! Sadly in my part of America, criminals dig up all the ramps they can find to sell. They won't pick the leaves and leave the plant. Same with mushrooms and any rare wildflower. My dogs have their own towels and insist on being dried off first and then start the carpet rubs!
Oh no! That’s so bad for foraging 😢 It’s illegal here to dig up any plant by the roots, unless you have the landowners permission. I know there are places where there are issues with non-responsible foragers in the UK too but we always try to find places that aren’t over foraged
The shed is looking great, oh boy a drum kit. Hopefully you won’t need ear plugs in the biar while you paint Sarah lol. Awesome video guys, i love where you live. Take care and thanks for sharing your adventure 👍🙏❤️
Richard's a character! Nice to have a knowledgeable helper. Love, love, love this channel! The shed looks great. Now you need to make some drum music to go with these videos. Thank you!
Great progress on the shed. I had to chuckle when looking at both your hands after painting and hearing both of you on the drums you definitely know who is the painter and who is the drummer!! 😂😂 As always, love seeing all 3 of you and your live on Skye!

All that's needed now are some matching mini sheds aka bird boxes made from shed off-cuts.
Jack Spaniels loves water and blocks of wood. Shed looking awesome
Why can't you guys make sourdough? A starter only takes about a week from scratch. Happy to send through a recipe for starter if you need it!
