Guinea pigs are brilliant. Their variety of behaviours make them so interesting, and they interact really well. Mine used to wheek like mad just when they heard me cutting up their cuucmber from a few rooms away. Even if they heard my footsteps they would wheek, as I think they were hoping for more cucumber. My pigs brought me so much pleasure - sadly now passed on. Took me a bit of time to get over this, but I really really want some more pigs now!!!! Going to get some soon....

Hello there young lady, I've had Guinea Pigs since the Eighties and glad to hear you NO LONGER feed them the Seeds...can be toxic and cause stomach gas, not good for the Piggies, I also have an excellent Vet for my babies and I check w/ him on what I learn!!
My mom bought my son a female guinea for his bday last week & I fell in love w/it 😍 husband is gonna get me one for mothers day. It's a Win for me & a buddy for the guinea we already have 😊 so precious!

What a beautiful name! I had a few, Gizmo, Chewy, Buttercup, Salacious, Sweet Ham, Sweet Potatoes, Carousal, and many more I couldn't name because it was a total of 19 X.X they breeded like crazy!
How well you care for these guinea pigs. Lovely. And, I especially like the close fitted doors on the sheds, because I need to “WARN” people, I kept mine in the shed type outhouse attached to our house, and had hutches with smaller holed chicken wire at the front. I noticed one day a mouse which seemed to have a routine across the shelves to the ground, and then I couldn’t believe my eyes as it squashed itself flat and shot through the small holes into the cage. The guinea pigs hid up the corner scared and had been squealing as if to say it was coming, then shut up! I didn’t say anything to my dad as I thought the mice were cute and knew he’d put a trap down. It resulted in more mice, who bit through the thick solid oak roof to my bedroom cupboard eating my dinghies, but even worse - our Yorkshire terrier one night was in the shed’ too, and started barking a lot. I didn’t get up and go outside in the snow. In the morning, I found one guinea pig dead with its leg totally missing, and had bled. So the “cute” mice had eaten it. And, if you don’t believe me, I watched a documentary on abandoned farms in New Zealand, where they opened a door and a wide river of mice flooded like water down the step out the door and jumped on pigs that were there, and started eating them alive! So its lovely to see you taking so much care of yours. Nothing should suffer like that! X
I like how they all share the veggies. I only have 2 and mine just love to run off with it and if one pig finishes their piece faster, they will chase the other pig for their piece...
Also, I used to put them out on the front lawn under a latticed open laundry basket with a brick on the top, so they could get sun and fresh air if I was busy in the house a short while. They’d really let you know if there was a cat about straight away. Then, after a while you’d move the basket and there’d be a trimmed grass oval shape on the lawn! They would squeal so loud BEFORE I EVEN REACHED my long drive from the shed, I didn’t get how they could tell I was coming, when other high school kids were going past too! Love em.

To everyone who isnt aware, Guinea Pigs cant go out in Winter or near the end of Autumn, I had to learn this the hard way, i have 3 guinea pigs then one died becuase the Grass affected his breathing, he couldnt breath, please make sure you regularly check up on your Guinea Pigs and keep them safe
Great video, you really put some effort into looking after your piggies (I've become such a softie with Guinea Pigs since I inherited a couple). I never knew they ate tomatoes! I've often chucked tomatoes out thinking they wouldn't eat them, good to know!

I've been bringing on murder/missing persons cases and have had to stop because it was getting me down. This is a perfect anti-dote. Great music too. I feel better now

mine like cucumber & carrots the best...we peel them I noticed you don't. They don't care much for the bell pepper's...but I cut them up to remove the seeds, you don't....are they harmless? I spent a LOT of $$$ on one of mine to save it's life, he had bladder stones, so surgery, & about 7 more visits to the vets office. He wouldn't eat, had to force feed him but JUST when we almost gave up, he came around & ate & got better!!!!

No, the Grass is too rich for them to digest so they are unable to breathe with it being like that
