I’ve decided to let go and close this chapter of my life to move on to something new. I haven’t really uploaded anything on this channel for over a year now nor have I been that active in any of my social media. During this time, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what I wanted to do with my social media platforms, as well as this channel, for months before finally making this decision. I realized that I no longer identify with being a beauty and fashion content creator/UA-camr/influencer. It was something that once enjoyed and was a great part of my life. I'm truly grateful to even have been given the chance to experience a tiny world of it. Something that I would never, ever take for granted. This channel had given me the courage to do something I didn’t think was possible for me, to go after something that’s not a normal path. It was one of the biggest risks that I've taken to date, and I'm glad that I did at the time that I did.
Living as a Filipino-American, it was instilled in me to get a degree and have a traditional job... which I still did. But this channel has provided me the opportunities to try something completely out of my comfort zone and explore life being on my own schedule. And at the same token, I don’t think I’ve worked harder for anything for something that I wanted. I’ve learned different skills that I had to learn on my own/with the help of other people. It allowed me to experience things and develop friendships/relationships that I may not have had because of being on this platform. But most importantly, it helped me grow as a person and navigate to find myself despite the noise.
Some of you might be thinking, “well, why not just make a pivot in the content you’re making on this channel?” And I have considered that, but it just didn’t seem like the right thing for me to do. To be honest, I have tried to actually rebrand this channel, but I’ve realized that I just want to let go and keep this as what it was. A document of what I was able to accomplish.
Because sometimes, it’s just better/time to let go to make space for something else.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU a million times for all the likes, comments, and the time you've spent with me on this channel. Thank you for letting me be part of your life. I'm truly grateful for all the support, experiences, opportunities, and being able to connect with people in different parts of the world because of this channel. Being on this platform has opened my eyes and have learned different things by just being part of this community. Thank you for giving me this space to explore my interests in the beauty and fashion community and allowing me to share a little piece of it with you.
