Man. Carpentry, furniture building, miniature building, set design. Lots of skills on display here. Can't help but wonder what your day job is. Whatever it is, they're lucky to have you, man.
I wonder if there is a different liquid that would have similar physics at a small scale that water does at 1:1 like maybe something with less surface tension? Like water with a rinse aid added to it or maybe alcohol? Idk something that’s accessible and not going to kill you obviously lol
As a fan of the film this brings me so much joy and love you got to play with different colours and viscosities. I've built a lot from The Shining in 3D but always skipped this as a fluid simulation would make my computer cry.
Such an iconic and horrifying visual. Seeing it in evil dead rise really made me smile and so did your recreation of the og. As always truly phenomenal work. I love seeing you stretch your creative legs into mediums besides sculpting. It always is a treat
Steven, you’re so crazy talented! Watching you use so many different tools and methods to create this diorama was a treat. Please consider doing more in the future!! ♥️
What a great build! The final result was incredible! When the blue kool-aid came out, i imagine Danny was in the hotel kitchen mixing way too much kool-aid and it just got out of hand.
I just sat here with the biggest, goofiest smile ever watching this entire process, and then the crescendo! LIQUID! So flippin' awesome! I just loved this entire video, and The Shining is one of my all time favorite movies. So that just made it *extra* good.
Jeez, if you ever get bored of sculpting you could always turn your hand to carpentry or upholstery, or even interior design! Fanatastic project... just like watching to film... masdive kudos to your skills...😮
Yoooo Stevo this was absolutely amazing! I realize the video was more about the build, but a slow mo cam would have done the trick perfect in the end. Also a pic of the real scene would have been cool too. But bro, so great! Love your vids
Kool aid I thought that was Hawaiian punch. But always love and admire your work love this so much as well as your work you should work for universal or dreamworks

Ikr
It's really weird how the liquid looks like a simulation due to the scale and the focus of the Camara.
Yup. I tried to build as big as I could and film in slo-mo, but water really doesn’t like to scale, lol
@@StevenRichterit’s okay, you’ll improve soon

You need thinner liquid. Less surface tension. Try alcohol.

This is uncanny! And the OH shots are very Kubrickesque. Perfect insomnia viewing. ❤

Please do the climax scene in Monster House where it is completely reduced to RUBBLE!!! I would LOVE to see that!!!
Such an amazing build.
Wow 😱
Pour moi c’est la meilleure vidéo de l’année ❤️🔥👏
Everybody gangsta until the diarrhea water enters the room
That was surprisingly AWESOME! 😃
The final paint effect on the model ended up so cool.
This makes me want a scale replica of the Overlook Hotel, impossible rooms and floor plans aside
Okay that is awesome, love the attention to detail
Great use of "Blue Danube"! Neat video. (-:
Love how you make beats and essentially the song with the sound of the tools and the shop
Beautiful
I didn’t anticipate the humorous ending! Well played, sir! Bravo! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
you are a genius
Just Woaw amazing ....

This would make a nice table top fountain. Elevator could ding on the hour.

Excellent work man. And a great idea!
That’s ART🔥🔥 now Cast it in resin and add a price tag it’ll definitely sale

Jeez, if you ever get bored of sculpting you could always turn your hand to carpentry or upholstery, or even interior design! Fanatastic project... just like watching to film... masdive kudos to your skills...😮

Nice! Hope to see you do your usual sculptures again.
I was waiting purple liquid like a reference to the Lean haha
Love how you can really get the native american feel of this.
When i saw the brown water i thought:man the plumber work on this place must be horrendous
Stanley Kubrick would be amazed in the afterlife.
whoa
Amazing Craftsmanship 👍🏻👍🏽👍
Thank you very much!
“That’s odd. Usually the Kool-Aid gets off at the second floor.” 😅 - Al.

But bro, so great! Love your vids
I have yet to see The Shining. 😢
Still, this was impressive.
So do you just chill at home and then you're suddenly like, "fuck it imma build something."
A beautiful hotel 🏨
Here s Johnny 😮
Lol, literally the day before yesterday I watched the movie The Shining and a video about it came out right away. Coincidence, I don't think so
More Lucas from chemknits, please!
Brother can you do a predator alien sculpture
Should have made the red blood a bit darker
It's like you've slashed up a clown
Kool aid I thought that was Hawaiian punch. But always love and admire your work love this so much as well as your work you should work for universal or dreamworks
So how long did that actually take you? Like from the initial idea to what we see here.
A Jamaica water it would have had a better effect.
Please, can you make an allerdeal holl out of crimson peak
Is the repainting Halloween masks gonna return this Halloween?
The pile of ugly masks on my desk seems to think so :)
Overlook
Wheel of time season 2 poster in 3d pls ❤
Can you do the sewer from halloween ends
That's odd. Usually the Kool Aid gets off on the second floor.
You should have sculpted Danny and the twins
print 3d best choise than laser cut for this case blood in resine red will be better to fix the scene ... too bad to ruin the work
Don't buy that super glue. It's a rip off. You get like 0.4oz in a giant waste of plastic container, so it looks like you got your moneys worth.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen the regular metal tubes of the gel in the store, but I found them online, so I’ll give that a try. Thanks
pin my comment😂😂
I know this really is in the movie. Blood. But because you used different colors, I wonder who’s bl**d is that.😏
I really dislike this music.
Had to listen to this on mute, couldn’t stand whatever the hell that background “music” was
