Something many don't talk about emergency funds is your mental health. Personally, an emergency fund is also peace of mind, not stressing about losing my job knowing I can feed my family and keep a roof on their head for a few months while I find a new job takes a huge load off my chest.
Ally was marketed to me the most, back when I was looking to open one. 🙂 there are some great options out there! Just make sure the interest rate is competitive and you can withdraw your money easily if needed. I’ve had a great experience with Ally so far.
True, the interest rates fluctuate depending on how the government sets it. It's still the only option that I know of where you'd be able to extract your money quickly when you need it. For money I don't need short term, I invest into ETFs/index funds.

Yes, an emergency fund is key to our mental health!
12 months would be great but 3 months is hard enough.
Very true!

In Brazil, credit card rates can reach 300% per year or more...
Sounds criminal
😮 Do Brazilians generally use credit cards?
@@karllyfeng Yes, Brazilians use a lot of credit cards, practically half of the population is card debtor, there is a lack of education in Brazil...
I’m interested to know why you decided to bank with Ally? I’m currently looking for a bank for my HYSA. Great content!

I agree with HYSA but suppose in a few years it goes down to 1% or less? Whats next best thing?
