Love watching old Love Boat episodes when I am on Princess ships.
I'm sailing on the Sun Princess in mid-June. I'm in a larger group, and we just got the heads-up that Kotor is out and Bar is in instead. Lots of very unhappy people. Oh, and we've also been having the issue with booking dining. Our group leader (who's also our travel agent) told us that Princess told him we won't be able to book any specialty dining until we board the ship!

Watching the old Love Boat episodes from the 1970's makes me realize how much cruising has changed.
1. Crew no longer chase women passengers
2. Crew no longer drink on the job
3. Passengers no longer throw confetti when leaving the dock.

thank you Allison, you are such a ray of sunshine. Thank you for your updates, reviews and tips. I just got back from a Princess eclipse cruise and your suggestions are welcome. We have used much of your advice as we prepare and cruise.
I also agree that Tours By Locals has been a great resource for private tours. We have used them in several countries. We were fortunate to visit & dock in Kotor in 2018 cruising on the Pacific Princess. Sure do miss the Pacific Princess & the ability to go places with that small ship!
Just off the Grand’s 1st Alaska sailing of the year. I watched “9 to 5” at least 3 times (a go-to movie for me), and “Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” twice. All of the Oscar nominated movies from this past year were also available.
We were lucky to visit Kotor and also take the bus trip up the hill thru the 26 hairpin turns. Still on Viking Mars, in Crotone, Italy today. May 1st is a holiday in Italy and most all stores are closed.
Santorini is also under stress from over tourism right now. Sun is so large.
I love that sail in to Kotor too- atmospheric!
We were on the Sun a couple of weeks ago - No Kotor (cancelled 2 days before the embarkation! ). We went to Bar instead. Thankfully we chose to be coached into Kotor despite the 1.5 hour travelling because those that stayed in Bar were really really disappointed. Our journey passed quickly too due to the great tour guide who was very informative.
We also got into Santorini - only ship in but we still created a long queue for the cable car coming back to ship and the landing dock was towed to and from the Sun but it worked fine (to the observer).
Despite paying a future cruise deposit - we’ve actually booked the Celebrity Ascent. I just cant get over the extremely poor customer service from Princess.
Yes, you’re right. I’m sailing on Sun on 1 June and both Santorini and Kotor have been removed. Replaced by Chania and Bar. Not happy about this. At all.
On a 10 day cruise I watched Top Gun Maverick 5 times! Love it.
Just wanted you to know we are sailing in the Mediterranean on the Sun Princess from April 27 - May 18. Today, April 30, we are in Santorini. They had the tender platform working today.
I agree about the movies, great and interesting selection, not all available on major streaming platforms so there will always be something you haven't seen.

For anyone considering Tours by Locals, we have used them two times before, and we were very pleased with both experiences. One thing we really liked is that the operators will adapt to your interests and needs. Many of their prices seem high but usually will cover more than just two people so if you add two or three more to your group, it makes the per person rate better..

I don’t like clutter at our table either. I would want the soda cans removed instead of piling up. It’s the same at land restaurants. When you get a refill of a drink they bring a new glass but always leave the finished glass. I always have to ask them to remove it. Seems like that would be automatic. As soon as my plate of food is finished they are quick to remove it. But for some reason they are slow to move the drink glasses. 🤷♀️

Wellll...I watched Super Mario 1000 times with my 3 year old !!! And we noticed that Alvin and the chipmunks on a cruise was not available on the solar cruise(which I've watched 1000 times on the previous cruise)😂

We are onboard the Regal and heading to the Sun on May 4 I asked at the ocean now desk as our sun booking is inactive No
boarding passes, dining or speciality dining reservations show up. I was told there will be no fixes until the next full update and there is no timeframe for that. It will be an interesting time during boarding and getting everything fixed with the customer service desk and dining manager. All is supposed to be ready to go but I cannot verify anything
Alison, my husband and and I are currently on the Sun Princess in Santorini. We took a tender to the island today. No problems.

Only watch about one movie on a cruise. Seems we are so busy we don't have time.
I had a long "chat" on the Princess site. I explained that cruises are not all showing. I have a back to back each scheduled under their own booking numbers. However, they grouped them together on the app. Only the 1st part of the b2b is showing excursions. They insisted that it is correct. It is not. I should be able to see all ports.

I sent you an inquiry about port calls to Rome and Barcelona, you responded in detail within 24 hours. I received an itinerary change notice from Princess, port call to Kotor on Jun 17 be replaced by Bar and excursions are being worked on. Called to my Princess Planner received no response. Thank you Allison for your daily updates on cruising. I only cruise on Princess. I make my bookings online and call new assigned Princess Planner with no service provided from him. I will contact you for my future booking if you are available.
a big negative if you paid for premier AND were upgraded to sanctuary there is no adjustment. So, kinda glad others who WANT premier will have to pay for it. Still, Princess messed up here.
I’m on the 5/25 sailing and just noticed the change in Montenegro. A little disappointing? Yes, but let’s face it, I’m going to be sailing in a beautiful region with perfect weather on a gorgeous ship. Not a lot to complain about. I can’t wait!

The thing that upsets me is I carefully picked my excursions way ahead of time. Now the best one is canceled and I'm left fighting 4000plus people for one when I get on the ship
After "PANAMAX class", other ship specifications will be defined, the "KOTORX class" 🤣
I was on a cruise in April, and at the last minute they changed destination to Bar, an insignificant place, really nothing there, just nice people who welcomed us in port with local food and dance (indeed they've never seen such a big cruise ship).
It would have been better to do a sea day, or divert to Bari...better than Bar
HAL also has a very good selection of movies included on the cabin TV. My favorite cruise movie....Jojo Rabbit. My husbands favorite movie.... Cocaine Bear
Hi. Thank you for your video! Do you know if Park 19 is ready to use? If not, maybe princess gave some information about the date, when it will be open? We booked Cruise (13th of July), and our daughter can’t wait for this part of the ship 😊
Last I heard, Park 19 is still not working.
I find it very strange that Princess isn't offering tours in Bar Montenego😢
My daughter was there and said Athens was awful the sand was all over the ground and vehicles . She said it was in your hair and clothes.
A billion dollar ship and they use old tires as bumbers on the tender dock?
