Those were priceless informations, crucialy usefull for that picky one. thank you
Glad to hear you found it helpful, definitely not one of the easier to grow species.
great vid,how old is the small and big one,and due to this video i have learn that the tendril looks to come out of the bottom end of the leave rather than the end,a lil bit like clipeta , do you know how some nepenthes pitchers are more "woody" what species have the most woody pitchers? I have a lowii and I heard you mentioned about how to can be ok with average temps for a while, but every summer they slowly get worse,my lowii is being kept at a day time temp of around 20 and under 10 at night is that ok or will it slowly die over a few years?
This is extreamly useful for a uni assignment i'm doing right now, thanks for making this video your a life saver!!
@@Lilly_At that's awesome, I'm so glad I could help. If you have other questions I'd be more then happy to try answer them for you.
i am trying to grow rajah from seeds
geez ,thats very bold
Great plants! Very well grow! One of my dream species to grow someday 🤞
Thanks mate, definitely a dream plant I can't wait to see them mature
Beautiful!!
Thanks mate
Do you think robcantleyi can tolerate Summer Nights of 22 degrees?
Robcantleyi or rajah?
Robcantleyi might handle it for a couple of months with out too much issue. Rajah it's way too warm for.
Beautiful plant man. Absolutely love rajah and it's hybrids. Own a few rajah x miras which sadly i had to cut the man stem due to stem rot but i caught on to it pretty early so hopefully theyll bounce back! If ya ever got a rajah or rajah hybrids ya want to trade let me know!
Thanks mate it's such an incredible species. I still don't have rajah x mira so hope it comes good for you.
Unfortunately because I produce all my plants via seeds I make or cuttings spare rajah or hybrids are along way away still. But it's definitely one of my dreams to flower one and breed with it
Thanks for the info. N. rajah is definitively a challenging plant. I saved mine by avoid spahgnum moss and going 100% perlite (because I can't find Akadama nor Kanuma).
Awesome, yeah it's not the easiest plant also as it gets bigger and older it really needs those cold nights below 10°c to keep it happy.
@@Eat-Me-Exotics So I really need to sell it when it's still small.
I never knew a nepenthes can live in pure perlite
I think .. lowering the bottom will only l keep you "happy" for a few weeks. So I imagine, new fridge or highland greenhouse will arrive soon?😂
Thank for this video. Would be great if somewere we could accumulate all our info and run some AI over it to help us with selecting plants that will do great in our environment. As yours differs a lot from my colder European windowsill
Hahaha, Na rajah takes along time to put on any height so I should be good for a few months at least lol.
It would be great but I think figuring out what plants will do well for you is part of the fun, with a simple set up and maybe a heat mat for winter you could make a cold windowsill quite usable.
I find it so interesting how this species basically has its adult pitcher form right from the start
Haha they are cool, but there is definitely subtle changes as they mature. I just can't wait for the huge domed lid of the true mature pitchers
