It is a fantastic album. It's the story of guy who gets caught up in a religious cult. He gives up his life for the cult, then finds out it's not what he though it was.
The studio version is maybe a minute longer but it's so perfect how it flows even on that version. They mostly cut the guitar solo out for the video (and the build-up in the intro) but holy shit it's fucking good! I agree that some bands don't know WHEN TO FUCKING END THE SONG!!! I'm glad you enjoy them!
Oh god this song reminds me of my middle school memories lol I’m 28 now, my mom lovessssss the drummer, I mean who wouldn’t? Everyone went through that kind of phase in middle school, but I absolutely love the 80’s and I love their rock music too. It’s better then most of the garbage today. I’m so lucky that I grew up with the 80’s music cause of my parents even though I’m a 90’s baby ugh 😌
Listen to King Diamond "Abigail" the whole album though. Just read up on the album before you listen to it. It's a concept album. King Diamond's greatest album.
Evergrey - When the Walls Go Down There are many, many great songs from this band's first 4 albums, but this one is unique. It's basically a narration that ties together the entire "Inner Circle" album that "A Touch of Blessing" came from. For me, one of the best metal albums of all time top to bottom. It tells the story of a man losing his faith and joining a cult and is a commentary on the weakness of people seeking answers and falling into "wrong hands". For more "typical" songs that are just fantastic from Evergrey: Solitude Within, She Speaks to the Dead, The Masterplan, Misled, Recreation Day, Unforgivable, More than Ever, Ambassador, When Kingdoms Fall, Fear, King of Errors. Can't go wrong with any track off "The Inner Circle" and "In Search of Truth".

This song is the opener of a great concept album. I recommend enyoying the entire album "The Inner Circle". It has an unique atmosphere!
