I appreciate your reasons for not giving the length of the cord. It's easier to ignore at wholesale prices, though. I went with the 8 and 12 foot lengths on approximately a 9 inch bracelet, and ended up with about 2-1/2 and 3-1/2 feet on each side (so about 5 and 7 feet total). I highly recommend making this bracelet 1/2 to 1 inch bigger than your normal bracelet size, as the thickness of it takes up quite a bit of space.

Oh man, I wish you would've made just the teeniest side note that this bracelet is REALLY frickin' rigid and hurts like hell! It feels like being in handcuffs(yes, I do know what that's like ha!) Or maybe I just like cinching my knots very tight lol
Making the bracelet just a few knot sections longer than intended alleviates problem.

My wrist: 7.5"/19cm. I had to make my bracelet 8.5"/21.5cm, due to the design's bulk. The final product is a snug fit though. I used a jig, so I was able to keep my weave tight as I went. I started with about 12'(144")/360cm of black and about 6'(72")/180cm of my secondary color. When I was done and trimmed the excess (there was a lot of it), I ended up using: 7'2"(86")/215cm of black and 4'2"(50")/125cm of my secondary color. I recommend adding 4-6"/10-15cm of each color to have an adequate amount of paracord.

I like this design, both the front and the back. It's a tad to chunky for smaller wrists however. I think I'll try this with the smaller paracord and see how it turns out. To do the "back" part of the design so its on the front of the bracelet, instead of making your loops from the top down, go the opposite way and do your loop at the bottom using the top cord to pull through the loop. It looks great too. Thanks for yet another awesome video.

For all of you struggling to keep your cords together, trying to wrangle them and save them from falling to the floor, USE A LOOM. You can buy a children's loom at Walmart and they set the size for you! You don't have to worry about the size not being exact, or pulling strings and watching your creation fall apart. Most bracelet designs can be simply adapted for the loom, and it saves you a whole lot of hassle.

I always go with extra, it would suck to run out before you get finished. At $7.00 for 100 feet thats only .07 a foot. Where I get mine they had a sale so I stocked up $5.50 for 100 feet. And several shackles I don`t like the plastic unless I make one for someone, but i`ve been known to give one I have on if someone comes up to me and ask`s where can I get one, then I tell`em I made it so I`ll take it off and tell`em here you go. What a way to brighten someones day......................

nice amount of videos you have up and great styles, much appreciated. notes from a paracordist: get a jigg, or build one. no fumbling around with the ends and such. also, dont burn the ends when you are finishing your bracelets. thats weak and looks cheap. use a fid and tuck them into the under portion of the bracelet. The quality look and fit will be 10 fold better.
again, appreciate the videos, just notes to step the game up. Paracord on!

  • @pubert4246

Just thought I would throw my 2 cents in for those of us who don't like wasting the extra cord. For measurements, if you have a 7 inch wrist, use 7 feet of black (8 inch = 8 feet etc...) for the green, I used 7 feet as well, but I had 4 feet left over at the end (and mine was pretty tight) so if you like your just a little lose, I'm pretty sure you could get away with about 3 1/2 feet. Great video!

For a 7.5 inch bracelet you would need:
-About 7 feet of your primary color (color on the sides)
-About 5 feet of secondary color (color in the middle)
Less is needed if the knots are tight. These measurements take into account the length needed to make tying the knots easier.

I haven't tried this weave yet, but it looks like it would be good for the designs where you want to store a slender "survival kit" down the middle. ie.. the flexible tube style kits that have various items like fishing line/hooks, tinder, etc.

I just tried this one. It's a nice style. It would be great to find a way to finish it off so that both ends look the same. I prefer tucks to singes, but if you gut the last quarter inch before burning the ends, it's much easier to do without burning them. Great stuff! Thanks!

    • @tanalee229

Thanks so much for the wonderful content! If there is anything negative I could say, I notice that you tend to gloss over some instructions very quickly or without going into any real detail, quite often. As if assuming that we all are experienced weavers. (I still haven't been able to figure out the Diamond Knot!) On this particular video, I made this bracelet and it turned our really well, but you didn't really specify top or bottom at the beginning, and I ended up making it "upside down" in relation to yours. However, this turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as everyone that I have shown it to, actually prefers it in this orientation. Once again, thank you very much, for taking the time and effort to teach "noobs" like myself!

En la Marina Mercante y Militar, esto de las pulseritas se llamaba Cajeta Plana y Cajeta Trenzada. No haciamos pulseritas.

I always go extra long, some say a foot to a inch and I run short if I do that on any type of bracelet. I use E.L. Wood type III and @ $7.00 for 100 feet, that`s only .07 per foot, with plastic buckle I have less than $1.00 in one, the stainless D adjustable shackle less than $4.00.And I`m guess-a-mateing shipping into it.

awesome tutorial, I liked it. I would like to request "torture testing" we all know how much weight 550 cord can support but the reason i like weaving it is because it makes it stronger. i would like to see what it can support. i have started making 550 cord dog leashes and i was surprised when a sing round weave was able to contain both of my dogs (a very active German Shepherd and a Great Dane) on a two dog lead. i want to see what kind of punishment your weaves can take, maybe tow a car, tie out a big dog. I know the cord will hold up better than the plastic clips so maybe use some steal o rings or chain links I'm not one to normally challenge someone i don't know, but I am very curious.
