This man told zero lies. I am 37 years old healing a father wound and having to forgive, but choosing to walk away from my relationship with my father and siblings because being around that much dysfunctional is too much for me, spiritually. It just hurts.

Can't say I find any thing wrong with this one.
I have seen a lot of mark Driscoll on social media, but I never see him preaching the Bible. It is sad that people will listen to him, but he doesn't preach.
Are you serious? I’ve listened to him off and on for more than a decade. The reason I like him is because he does preach from the Bible and just goes through the books. This clip he doesn’t but it’s just a clip. When he is doing sermons everything he says he relates back to the Bible.

(a yoke is a collar worn by cattle, it is the point where the ropes are attached allowing them to pull a plow or a cart.)
God is very merciful, surrender to him.
The problem with Mark is he tells the truth, and that is unacceptable today. There is nothing he says that cannot be backed up with scripture. If you have a problem with his words, the problem might be you.
Which is not a problem (Mark) at all...

women pay their tithe checks in churches. they're two-thirds of church attendees. Churches look down on conventional masculinity while at the same time they preach responsibility

Ironically, Mark has avoided truly being under sovereign authority as God defines it in Scripture. Being along side elders… Mark has historically alienated and manipulated elders. He has also abused his own authority. He has never owned this publicly so he has ZERO business teaching on this topic. ZERO.

@QuiverofArrows funny, I wonder if Mark said the same about women as he is talking about men in the way he is, will you say the same thing here? Probably not, you probably be on the defensive side and try to point the blame back at men, like every woman does.
Of course, I would say the same thing if a woman called Pastor Mark a misogynistic pastor. Conviction goes both ways it's not just for one sex. Truth is truth. I stand on biblical truth and I follow God not man but if a pastor is speaking from biblical truth. I'm going to stand with that pastor whether hes talking about women or men.
@@QuiverofArrowsNot quite correct. God is an orderly God not a chaotic God. He has roles for each gender and this pastor always reduces everything down to the man (If you watch his other videos as well) as if the woman has no responsibilities and accountabilities.
So, let's go to the scriptures. Mark says that men need to come under some authority, namely God.
But, then to balance things out he should include the BUT part for women, namely that women have to come under the authority of their husbands.
This teaching by gender should stop. If he is going to teach to men he should teach to women at the same time to avoid division, so both genders understand their roles simultaneously as a TEAM. That's what Jesus did.
This pastor Mark is clearly a woke feminist pastor who thinks the bible is a self-help book and very seldom does he quote scriptures and when he does they are missing context. Watch how the Apostles under Jesus did it.
Ephesians 5: 23-28
23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.
24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.
26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,
27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
Notice how both the husband and wife are dealt with wisely, by teaching both roles as a team.
@@QuiverofArrows Watch his other videos. It's a pattern of behaviours with him. It's interesting to observe you projecting your thoughts of conviction and repentance onto others you don't know, because that's what you did.
I comment on what he actually says and does and back it up with scriptures in context. Just because you think like that doesnt mean other people have your perversities.

And it's public knowledge he got in trouble in the past for mistreating church members and for misappropriation of funds! And since I survived these so called godly men, and having walked through my wilderness as a child, I can spot them in a heartbeat! You go right ahead and follow him and support him, he needs it!
