  • The Tielman Brothers was the first Dutch-Indonesian band to
    successfully venture into the international music scene in the
    1950s. They were one of the pioneers of rock and roll in
    The Netherlands, and are credited with releasing the first
    Dutch rock and roll single, Rock Little Baby of Mine in 1958.
    Tielman Brothers were pioneers of Indo Rock.
    1947 to 1956 was known and active in Indonesia as Timor Brother
    1956 moved to Netherland
    Well known in Germany and play in the same circuit with The Beatles
    1959 made an album for Imperial Label
    introduce stage acting performance that later on adopted by other bands
    Frank Luyten was hired from 1960 to 1965 as extra guitarist/singer
    After Germany Tielman Brothers perfomed at Switzerland, Austrian & Sweden.
    Various Single also released in US Market
    1962 Tielman Brothers records the song for the Germany market specially,
    released by Ariola
    1963 While The Beatles Successful in England, Tielman Brothers has been on
    the Europe Top.
    1964 Reggy and Andy has an serous car accident in Germany
    1965 LP East and West was released. Hit with "Maria".
    Slowly the Tielman Brothers become Night Club Orchestra with 50's Songs
    Tielman Brothers announces farewell to Germany Showbiz

    The children of the Timorese KNIL Captain were not well known in
    Indonesia, but had a brilliant career in the Netherlands.
    The Tielman Brothers are considered to be the pioneers of Indo-rock
