    Americans think they can behave anyway they want, specially in poor countries. Respect their laws. If you broke the law, face the consequences and don’t play victim.

    ✈Before, you board an airplane, they always ask you:
    "Did you pack your own bags?"
    "Has the bag been out of your possession?"
    "Has anyone unknown to you asked you to carry anything onboard?"

    When you are preparing your luggage for a trip, especially overseas, check your luggage. Not hard.

    Lmao. Noticing when it’s a person of a certain complexion, then “it was a mistake and everyone should get a second chance!”. Nah bro, gotta do the time like everyone else. You’re a grown man.

    so, total amnesia about how the bullets ended up in his hand luggage.
    let me guess, in the trial, total amnesia about what happened to the other 4 bullets he brought with him to the islands.

    These guys are very, very lucky this happened in Turks and Caicos.
    Can't imagine they would be out on bail, in an AirBnB, telling their story to the world had they been vacationing in Dominican Republic, Mexico or Jamaica.
    Hard to believe some countries just don't want foreigners wandering around town with live ammo in their backpack.

    I understand it was a mistake. But, you can’t act ignorant to the law. A 12 year sentence is pretty insane tho

    I was born on those islands but live here in the U.S. and I feel very sorry for what has happened to those people. I feel that the TCI athorities should just give them a fine and send them home to their families. I truly believe that those men didn’t realize that the bullets were in their luggage..sad ending to a great trip..

    • @duncansmith7562
      @duncansmith7562 Місяць тому +1

      It is very likely, if it was an honest mistake, that a fine and deportation will be the result.
      but it would be a terrible injustice for the TCI authorities to just assume that this was a mistake, and a mistake without consequences.
      Some countries don't want tourists wandering around town with bullets, strange as that may sound.

      Obey the law, it's literally that simple. Stop making excuses for criminals because you think it's unfair. You're the reason the US justice system is so soft today. Just because America's courts let criminals run free doesn't mean other countries have to 🤡
