I can imagine your Mom perusing your dp stash and picking out the items she likes, lol. Shopping Joan's closet! Sounds fun to me! I wonder what my Mom would have thought about diamond painting. She used to cross-stitch. She passed in 2014, so a little before dp really started taking off. Does your mom have a favorite dp pen that she uses? You're so sweet to make her kits to go! hehe
I am sorry for your loss. I am fortunate to be able to share this craft with my Mom. My mom actually just uses the free pens. She just has 3 squishies across the whole length and has a single and a plastic four placer on it. She finds the other pens too heavy.
I hope mom is careful and doesn’t spill any drills while she’s at your sisters house, because she won’t have your spare drill storage. I love your videos and I can’t wait to see these finished diamond paintings. 💛💎💜💎💖
I'm sure if she does spill something, she will just put it aside and work on a different diamond painting. She did take a lot with her lol.

I talked to my Mom today and she told me she finished 4 diamond paintings already. I don't know which ones but she has only been at my sister's house a week lol.
Joan you need a cd/rom drive to place all your old vids on . That would free up your hard drives and you would still have the old vids for whatever reason.
I've been using an external hard drive. I think I think the CDs could only hold 700MB per disc and many of my videos are larger than that.

I think I'm good with the one Wordle. I saw there was a also a Worlde where you try to guess a country with just the picture of the country, but I don't know my geography.

Our Ikea is about to be 6 years old. I'm so obsessed, I made my husband take the day off so we could go opening day in 2016. I've been known to plan trips just to go to Ikea when the closest was 4hrs away in another state. We've made the trip and then drove back same day once or twice, but generally just made it a priority to stop in when traveling. Shopping at Ikea was one of the things that transitioning to a van a huge selling point (my car was getting tight with 2 car seats...the rear facing one basically put my knees into the dashboard...couldn't get a box of diapers AND groceries, so would have to buy one or the other, drop it at home and then continue on our trip, but with a van I was finally able to buy big things at Ikea rather than just accessories, which is great because I'd say half the furniture we own is from Ikea because it's affordable and oh so functional). I love having an Ikea where I live now, but I can imagine a long trek to get there makes it harder to go even if it's not a several hour trip, ESPECIALLY with inventory issues what they are.
When I moved my craft space from a dedicated room to our loft, I had to get a bunch of new furniture to make it fit. No more wall space in the new set up since 2 walls are open and a 3rd has a large window, whereas my old space was nothing but walls (it's a very odd shaped room, like a capital 'T' with another line extending like an 'F' would have but going to the left and is longer than the top of the letter). So, I sold off some furniture (some Ikea, some not) and bought new stuff to improve the functionality of the room. I was going to wait (so glad I didn't, the same furniture would have cost me about 50% more if I had waited 6 more weeks, if it was even restocked) since I don't use the space as much as I used to, but one day a few essential pieces came in stock where they only got a handful in and I was worried that if they only restocked a few at a time, it could be ages before I had a chance to get them again so we went and bought them. Then a few days later, a bunch more came in stock, with an ETA of the last pieces for 2 days from then so we went and bought those pieces before they sold out. Then the very next day, the last few pieces I needed were restocked early, so we went and got them. Ours is probably 30-45 minutes away in traffic, but 20 minutes without...maybe 20ish miles away. We just made sure to go closer to closing so traffic wouldn't be so bad. For a long drive, that situation would have been terrible, especially because most of the stuff from the first trip was sold out within 48 hours and wouldn't have been there by the third trip.
I think when I was in living in San Francisco area, the Ikea there opened in the early 2000s. It was about a 25 minute drive but I had to cross a bridge. I remember that place was always crazy busy. They opened a 2nd one that was closer about 15 min drive a few years later. Now the closest Ikea to me is about an hour away with no traffic so it is not a trip I make often. I think I will just have to be lucky to get something or I might just have a better chance trying to buy it online and pay for shipping.
Great video I love them painting’s I love to kit up but I need to work on the ones that I already have kitted up have a wonderful weekend 😊
I've trying to be good and only kit up a few for myself. Luckily my Mom has been helping me feed my kitting up needs.
I'm with you on that kind of stress . And yes it is the worse type . Fingers crossed you find out one way or the other if yes or nay on the supervisor position .

I have been be binge watching your videos. I would like to know how many kits do you buy from these overseas companies to make shipping fees worth while. Will you ever show you actually doing a painting? I have a few questions such as do you start top to bottom, do you jump around and do all of that one color no matter where it is? Things like that
Thanks for binge watching! Many times I would buy enough to get to the free shipping which many stores shipping from China or within the US have. I have yet to buy from stores in Europe or Australia because the shipping fees to the US tend to be too high. I work in large sections about 15x20 or 15x30 cm big and then diamond paint the whole section by color. I tend to start at the bottom right. If it is a larger painting that will hang off my table, I start at the middle then go down and then turn it around and start at the middle again. That way the part that has already been drilled is away from me.
We clean up before guest come. We refer it it as “mad dash stash”
I like the mad dash stash. That is pretty much what I do.
If I am going a long distance I call ahead and order if possible. Everyone’s love language is different. One of my kids love time and the other gifts
I think I'm going to have order online and pick up at store. I think my sister and I prefer the time.

I actually did something like that for Walmart a couple of times during the lockdown. I just opened my trunk and stayed in my car while they loaded up the groceries.
More like a 2 hour kitting down video.
I feel like kitting down take me longer to do than a kitting up lol.
