    This is a real time saver, and seems to work with the sync bin too. If you place other cameras on top with video only, and lay the main camera down with audio, it uses the better audio file. Thanks!

    I've only recently found your channel as I just started using Resolve 17 and this clip is a lifesaver. When we first started live-streaming, our pastor still recorded her message on a separate recorder. We didn't know what we were doing with the live sound and when we would switch scenes in OBS, our sound went from the camera mic to the laptop mic and back, making for some bad soundtracks. Being able to sync up the recorded audio track with the audio in the video track will allow me to go back and fix so much. Thanks for these tips.

    1) You are way better than Casey Neistat :D
    2) Please, never stop making videos about Resolve!!!
    Cheers, Mike

    Casey never disappoints, just bought a usb mic, recorded an audio and was stuck with the syncing issue, first name came into my mind was Casey, and thank you man.....it was so easy..;
    I have a request if you can make a video on how we can minimize and maximize the double frame like they do in the news or when we watch a match, they show some ads frame in frame and they zoom in and zoom out.... if you do this, I will buy you a coffee whenever we meet ;)

    Thanks for this tutorial! But what if it doesn't sync? is there another way to sync up audio? My mono track doesn't convert to stereo (playing out of only left speaker) no matter how many times and ways I edit clip attribute. Does that have anything to do with the syncing? thanks!

    Thank you for this. I used this to sync my audio and video, but I had a question going a little further with it: I took my WAV files from my recorder and my BRAW files from camera, created the sync media, and then exported proxy files so another editor could work on them in another system. When I bring the XML files back into Resolve for grading, the edit shows up with my original BRAW clips, but I'm missing the sync audio (only camera sound). How can I create proxies with audio sync that will come back to me when we relink the XML to original media?

    Casey... You are an excellent teacher with a great sense of humor! While I understand recording a voice over with a mic is the same as recording singing or live instruments I believe that for the sake of CLICKBAIT... if you would simply make a new video called "How to record vocals and guitar with Resolve" you would get a huge number of views from singer\songwriters like me who thought Fairlight might be too inferior compared to a regular DAW like pro tools or even cakewalk. While I suspect straight DAWs have their strengths ( maybe Fairlight will add midi someday unless it already has? ) you could at least touch base on the pros and cons between Fairlight and normal DAW's. Thanks again for your smart, fun videos!!!

    Great video as always!👍 I was just wondering, if I was recording gameplay, and then audio from my mic for commentary. Would they sync up just as good as it shows in the video here? or is that something I would have to 'Resolve'😜 manually?
