    HI friend thanks by your new video from grow season 2024, nice treess and leaves , i have also this hobby from 3-4 years ago and in spring I am very happy by we can see this explode of nice colours and leaves forms of each varieties, the tree you say Trompembourg for me seems like one ther ihave that I buy like Starfish, and the trompenburg Ihave its some diferent , but those ibought here in spain and is posible some wrong from the baumschle.
    again tks by your vdeos from balcony, and also from baumschules Nielsen and Hachmann greats videos

      Thank you very much! You are right that Starfish looks similar to Trompenburg but the Starfish leaves are smaller and more curled I would say.
      I also have a Starfish now in my parents' garden. You will see it in my next video. I also always see trees that do not have exactly the same leaves like mine but it should be the same cultivar. Maybe some have grown from seeds then or the mother plant was already no 'original' cultivar. For example the bigger Seiryu in my parents' garden that I once bought from a Discounter looks different to my new small Seiryu from this video. And the Discounter tree never got good fall color yet. So buying trees from a good nursery for me is always the better deal.

      Hola fisio Manuales encantado de saludarte por aquí , ayer me suscrito a tu canal , yo estoy en la costa mediterránea en la provincia de Castellón, enhorabuena por el trabajo que se nota que haces con mucha ilusión en las miniaturas

      @@mcitrus6283 Gracias Citrus y donde tu vives es complicado crecer arces por el clima mediterráneo. Normalmente yo me dedico más a los arces japoneses y los bonsái los hago por diversión pero que salgan bien. Gracias por echar un vistazo sobre mis vídeos, grabo más arces que otra cosa.

      Hola gracias por tu comentario, por aquí a base de tener algunos resultados negativos con la experiencia de estos 3-4 años he conseguido cultivar bien los arces palmatum Japoneses , los tengo en el patio trasero en semisombra protegidos con la malla de techo y resguardados de los vientos y más o menos he conseguido tenerlos bonitos , unos pocos los tengo en tierra pero la mayoría en escurrideras de las que se usan para limpiar las lechugas de ensalada y así me va bien y crecen bonitos .
      Un saludo y estamos en contacto para ver cómo hacemos crecer los arces bien bonitos

    Are you going to do hachmann and nielsen walkthrough? I loved those

      @Acerdorer  7 місяців тому

      My last video was from Nielsen, but it was a little too early. Maybe I will visit Hachmann in 2 weeks but I am not sure yet.

      @Acerdorer  7 місяців тому

      About 80km from Nielsen and 40km from Hachmann. Hachmann I am only not sure because they seem to have no new varieties.

    Finally you are here! Yep I enjoyed the views and the colors, this year you have some new and gorgeous maples and all of them are very cool. I’m with you fighting against the aphids, some leaves are like fingernails. Tell me please if last year you’ve bought “Glamour” maple or is the same at “Trompenburg”. This spring you have more intensives colors than other springs, congrats!!!

      @Acerdorer  7 місяців тому +1

      Hey! Yesss, thank you! You are right with the Trompenburg. Last time I also added Glamour or Glamour girl as alt. name. The thing is when I google that name I can only find it at Hachmann and there it seems to be a very Trompenburg-like cultivar but not exaclty the same. I think I will stick to Trompenburg only for my tree then.

      @@Acerdorer I thought the same about Hackmann, they have patented Glamour Girl.

    Gorgeous variety of colour! Have you got an OsakaZuki? 🥺 Just got mine yesterday and not a fan of the shape.

      Thank you! You also found my Osakazuki but it is in my parents' garden now and still doing well.
      I shape/prune all my trees every year in early spring. I really don't like when twigs get too long and too close to each other.

    Soon you'll need a house with a garden... I've realized that it's not easy to stop buying japanese maples, so start making arrangements!!!
    Have a great day!

      Haha, Yesss, thank you! A garden would be great. Fortunately my parents have a garden where I could already plant some of my trees like my big older Osakazuki. Meanwhile it is almost impossible here to afford a house with garden especially in or close to big cities like Hamburg.

    where do you buy your japanese maples from? Your collection is really nice.

    • @Acerdorer

      Thank you very much! Some trees I bought on ebay and the others from various nurseries... Baumschule Hachmann and Nielsen in Germany, Esveld in the Netherlands and Steven Roff in the UK (before the Brexit).

    What happened to your Kuro Hime? I've found it to be very vigorous

    • @Acerdorer
      @Acerdorer  7 місяців тому +1

      My first Kuro hime died pretty quick after had bought and repotted it. I think the soil was too wet again and the tree got too much sun from the start. The new tree I did not repot yet. I will wait until fall now.

    What camera do you use? The image quality and color fidelity is impressive. It is a fault that many people have when we record maples, the real color is never appreciated as we perceive it when we see it on video.

    • @Acerdorer
      @Acerdorer  7 місяців тому +1

      Thank you! I am using a Oneplus 9 pro smartphone but it overheats when it gets too warm and then the image starts to stutter. That's why I also had to do 2-3 cuts in the vid. For editing I am using the freeware 'Shotcut' and I figured out that using the JPEG color range the colors look much better and realistic than with the MPEG c. range.
