Before his first court appearance Burke was not a criminal, now he has spent over 3 months in jail and is about to have his assets seized, is that not starting to look like an abuse of power. The Burke family seem to go looking for this type of fight but that’s hardly a justification for the court’s actions. At first, I felt sympathy for the student and their family but at this stage I’m wondering what’s really going on here.
No, he is still not a criminal as he has not been prosecuted for a criminal offence. He has been in breach of a court order and has been jailed for the civil contempt of court.

If the sequestration of Enoch’s assets is successful , what will the school do with the assets ? Sell them ? Use the proceeds to pay their legal costs ? Who is paying the schools legal costs , is it the taxpayer ?
Whatever they like. It will be legally theirs.

The first words of the Irish Proclamation reads : “ Irishmen and Irishwomen” Does this place the Irish proclamation discriminatory because it does not recognize any other gender? The Irish constitution nowhere mentions any other gender apart from Man and Woman. Is the Irish constitution discriminatory?
Well no because of the Amendments. Problem solved.

Not sure what you are asking as you obviously know he is the Chairperson of the board of the school. Duly appointed by either the members of the board or appointed by the Patron of the school.
Justice Brian O’Moore expressed surprise yesterday morning that Enoch Burke is seeking an injunction restraining his employers from holding a disciplinary hearing when he himself is repeatedly breaching a court order. The matter was then opened before Justice Dignam who heard submissions from Mr Burke. There were heated exchanges between the court and Mr Burke, his mother Martina and his sister Ammi, when Mr Justice Conor Dignam said the court had to rise at 4pm. It’s back in again in the morning.

Why was this dispute not dealt with as a workplace issue in the first instance? And where do the teachers' unions stand on disputes between head teachers and staff?
It was dealt with as a workplace issue and he was suspended in accordance with the agreed procedure, according to the circular letter from the Department of Education and in force in every primary and secondary school in the State 👍

@@paulmulcahy3892 What I find strange is how almost every week there is a headline saying that someone "has avoided a jail sentence" following a physical assault or violence. I wouldn't have thought Burke would be a danger to anyone, nuisance yes, but threat?

In Britain The transgender organization "Educate and Celebrate" are promoting in primary schools both religious (except Muslim ) and secular primary schools. It states that children should recognize more than 2 genders, and question their own sexual identity, even as children. Objections to this Curriculum by staff members constitute the risk of suspension and blackmailing. In N@z! Germany, primary school children were encouraged to join the H!tler youth, and anyone who objected were blackmailed. In Russia today, children are taught in schools to celebrate their military and the "moral" cause against Ukraine. if anyone questions this new curriculum, they face suspension and blackmailing. Today if you question, or believe that there are two biological entities, you are labelled "Transphobic". In soviet Russia, people who questions the policies of the soviet Government were called "Reactionaries" and accused of "Anti Soviet Activities".

Sequestration is a process for dealing with a contempt of court that would be otherwise punishable by a committal under which the assets of the respondent may be seized and retained until the order in question is complied with. Nothing to do with blackmail.
