He was a good bond but for the public he was the worst bond cause he only did one. But us enthusiasts know that On her Majesty’s secret service is one of the best.
We don’t talk about George😏 on her majesty’s secret service was so boring… that’s the bond movie that you throw in on a date night with no intention of watching it 😂
The reason my wife bought one after she first picked one up in all black. The smile on her face that day I will never forget. I am now the proud owner of her great pistol.😎
I purchased an original Walther PPK in Hawaii in 1966 for $69. Left Hawaii in 1967 and stored it until 1969. Needing $$ I went to a pawn shop and ask if they were interested in buying? Dealer offered me $90 or 100?? I thought, that was a great deal especially for a pawn shot. Only later did I learn, those imported sub compacts were no longer allowed in Ca? -USA? Still wish I had that one!!
Went to a range with my PPK. All the employees talked down to me saying it was horribly inaccurate, too small, waste of money, badly assembled.... but when I bought it the lady was so excited for me. Guess it depends.
There’s only one thing… Jame’s first PPK, given him to replace the Beretta 418 .25acp, was a Walther PP 9mm kurz (.380acp), which he used in most of the first series of Bond movies. The actual film Walther PP sold at auction for $256,000. Though it was represented in the script as a PPK .32acp, the Director (“Dr. No”) Terence Young insisted the PPK looked too small in Connery’s large hands, so he replaced it with the PP and it stuck.
My first pistol 240 bucks back in1985 made by interarms Alexandria Virginia it was nicely blued said walther on the slide and grips and never gave me and ounce of trouble I was new to shooting and I could get a good group at 50 yards still have it today and take it to range every now and then has a bit of a kick for a small gun in 380 but I would never part with it a real classic
Love my interarms PPK. I still carry it. Are there lighter, higher capacity options out there? Of course. Are they as sexy, and instill as much confidence as the Walther? No way. There’s a reason it’s still around. It’s one of the finest handguns to ever be milled out of a block of steel.
I have 2 PPK’s and 2 PPK/S pistols. They’re great, but Sean Connery did PSA’s for the British government, asking citizens to turn in their handguns after they were banned in 1996. Daniel Craig is my new favorite Bond, even with his leftist leanings. 👍
actual Leftists, as in no longer Liberal because Liberalism is incompatible with Leftism, are EXTREMELY likely to be pro gun. There are always exceptions, but generally, Socialists, Anarchists, Communists etc are very invested in the idea that people should own guns as means of protection against the excesses of the government and the ruling class. They are less likely to trust that the police are interested in protecting the people, and more interested in mutual aid and communities keeping the peace. Not only that, but Leftist pro-gun sentiment of far more consistent then conservatives, and modern gun control is really the brainchild of none other then conservative hero and American traitor Ronald Reagan.
.32 ACP and .25 ACP are too small, horrible for self defense and undercover or covert operations. .380 would be a much better choice, more powerful than .25 ACP or .32 ACP, but still lightweight, small and concealable.
Actually most of the agents used 32 acp. You can't get military calibers and 9mm stuff in some countries. 32 acp works fine. All about placement. 32 acp is more accurate too. 380 kick in a blowback is quite sharp.
The gentleman left out one actor who played James Bond... George Lazenby who played 007 in On Her Majesty's Secret Service 🙂

i just got one. super accurate. incredible assembly , small is concealable. beautiful fun gun.
@@naveyarg9771I just got another ppk. I only have one issue with the gun, it keeps running out of ammunition.

I Love James Bond PPK gun
(👁️--👁️)👍
Zombie James
Did not M force Bond to give up a Beretta for the Walther (7.62 by 39) early in "Dr. No"?
7.62x39 is the round used by an AK-47 rifle. The Walther chambers a 7.65mm round.
@@warriorsheartcosplay3016 Yes, 7.65x17mm Browning (.32 ACP).
Yet not one mention that what he was really using on film in Dr. No was a PP.
Beretta 418 💪
I've owned one for nearly 20 years. It is surprisingly accurate for such a smallish pistol.
Bond's choice of guns was NOT the Walther PPK. It was the Beretta .25. The Walther was forced upon him by M.
0:28 No love for George Lazenby.
"That never happened to the other guy." - James Bond
I stand to be corrected but as I recall there is a scene where M takes away Bond's Beretta and forces him to switch to the Walther.
My wife got me one today for Christmas!! Never divorcing her😂
I have almost 10 PPKs and PPKSs, all made in Germany, but I have never fired any of them. Half of them are gold and silver-plated. One is prewar.

James Bond used (is shown with) a Walther PP, not the PPK. 😀
That was a guy with ribs removed to fake waist.

Yes, added difficultly to be a low recoil flat shooter in a small pistol like the ppk. Lots of videos on here showing the benefits of the .32acp
@@Z3V5B0 .32 ACP and .25 ACP would just piss someone off.
@@podsmpsg1 Ok

Walther PPK lacks of accuracy.
