For those who do not see a devices tab in your Oculus app on your phone. I had this too and solved this by uninstalling and reinstalling the Oculus app. After this, a MENU appears on the bottom right that wasn't there before. If you press that, you'll see eight menu items (two rows of four items). One of these will be the devices part that you could not find earlier.
I wanted to say a quick Thank you for making this video. I have tried for the last 2 days to get a app side loaded and with the help of this video it worked perfectly. Thank you!!
Open the occlus app on your phone and connect your quest 2 and your phone then turn on developer mode on your phone. It should connect to sidequest. You will now have a green light and it will say connected.
I've installed and unstalled this so many times, When I install he drivers.. nothing opens.. and the Sidequest that I've downloaded and installed doesn't look anything like the Sidequest in the video.. The Website looks like that app she is using but the software on Windows does not.
just go to file with 64 at the end, make sure its unzipped not double clicked, then right click and install.(click more options if you're on windows 11)
Hi there! I did all of the stages. But when I put on my headset, there is nothing to be allowed. How can i fix this problem? If you help, I will be so happy! Thanks in advance
@@chris-xy9fe I had this issue too. Right click then go to 'show more options' and then you should see 'Install'. Its a bit of a roundabout way when not using Winrar or whatnot. Hope this helps you. Let me know!
2:27 I extracted the files but it isn't showing the .inf file and I'm also not able to install any of the files, I'm wondering if it's because I have the windows 11 update? Is there any alternatives to this step? 4:02 My laptop also doesn't have a port for me to insert the USB cable, so I am not able to connect it to my pc. Is there a way to fix that aswell?
Hi! Currently we do not have a SideQuest update to support Windows 11. We just tested it on our end and the file android_winusb.inf is there. Please check if your Windows hides .inf files as a "system file" by default and turn off that function. Connecting with a usb cable is required unless you have an android phone in which case you don't need a pc! see the tutorial here - ua-cam.com/video/hduObw_FNDw/v-deo.html
hey! first of all, great tutorial got my headset connected very easily thanks to the video! but i'm wondering if i have to stay connected by wire to play the sideloaded apps, or can i unplug it and play them wireless?
We're glad you got it set up and working! After you have sideloaded a game, you no longer need to stay connected! The game is fully playable from your Quest. Enjoy!
Officially SideQuest does not support Windows 11. It does work in a lot of cases but in others it doesn't and there is no clear workaround. Since meta doesn't officially support it either, it makes support for SideQuest a bit tricky. You can try at your own risk but we cannot offer support for it at this time.
@@sidequestvr I got mine working on windows 11 last night. I have no idea how because everything that could've gone wrong, went wrong. But I got it working after 4 hours
Hey there! There can be a variety of reasons. In the headset settings under System > Developer > Enable USB Dialog you can re-enable the USB dialog if it was accidentally dismissed. In some cases users have had to re-verify their developer account too ( by adding a credit card rather than a phone number ). In some cases toggling dev mode and factory resetting has also helped. These solutions may not be required but unfortunately Dev Mode and ADB can come with quirks sometimes but we have seen a lot of workarounds too. It might be worth reaching out to oculus support too - oculus.com/support.
If you do not see the developer mode tab, it means that your developer account isn't created or isn't verified. If you created the organization, you also need to add your phone number and credit card to verify your identity. Then the Developer Mode tab will show up.
It would be nice if you could slow it down just a little. The speed at which information is given is probably great for those with lots of experience. Sure it would make for a longer video but it would also make it more friendly to those trying to follow your instructions. Thanks
mine didn't have the "inf" extension, but it was in the same place and did say "setup instructions" or whatever. didn't have an "install" option so double-clicked instead and it worked.
sidequest didn't open a new window for me 2:36 Edit: If ya'll don't want to cry at like 1 in the morning, download the sidequest on the right side cause for me the easy one did not work
Where do you go to verify your business. Theres a verification section but it says to show documents that your business really exist or my id or passport. I dont see where we can enter a credit card or do the two step verification
I have followed the steps so closely but there is not enough detail for the usb part do you think you can help me. It will not connect to my quest at all

We have just double-checked this for you and we cannot confirm the issue. If you download the file and then extract it, the android_winusb.inf file is located inside oculus-adb-driver-2.0\oculus-go-adb-driver-2.0\usb_driver . It might show up as simply "android_winusb". As a reminder, you download the drivers by clicking on the blue button that says "Download" here: developer.oculus.com/downloads/package/oculus-adb-drivers/ and extract it by right-clicking on the zip file and selecting "extract all" or similar term based on your extraction tool.

If you have any more questions, please make sure to ask them here: sidequestvr.com/support Lots o questions have already been address there, and your question might have already been answered!
if the allow access to data popup doesn't show up then it's most probably a cable or a usb port issue. Try a different cable/port. If it's the ADB popup that doesn't show up make sure you created organization, enabled dev mode and installed the drivers

if the allow access to data popup doesn't show up then it's most probably a cable or a usb port issue. Try a different cable/port. If it's the ADB popup that doesn't show up make sure you created organization, enabled dev mode and installed the drivers
