I used to not like Lucy, for a long time she had all the personality, charm, and charisma of a dried out sponge, but in recent years she's gotten much more comfortable and entertaining and I really enjoy watching her videos, even subbed to her channel. I hope she continues to grow and thrive, this particular format really seems to work for her. Also any time her and James interact it's just magic.
That sausage is lorne sausage, famous here in scotland, it is delicious even though it looked a bit garbage on that dry bread. Better with a full scottish breakfast.
I used to take the train all over the USA, Denver to Chicago, Chicago to Pensacola, Pensacola to Denver, and "train life" is unique. Constantly in motion, it's almost like being on a small boat as you're forever swaying and adjusting, and the people you meet are just amazing folk. Tiny stations in the middle of Nebraska, incredible night skies in Oklahoma, and zooming past all the bumper to bumper traffic in the cities. It hearkens back to a time when the journey was just as important as the destination. Awesome video Lucy, Scotland is my ancestral home, and seeing that countryside is awe inspiring.
This was a pleasant surprise. When i noticed this video i was sure this was going to be Mike hosting this not Lucy. Because recently pretty much all of these sort of videos have had Mike doing them. I haven't seen Lucy on this channel in a while
Its called square sausage and is a Scottish staple its basically just normal beef sausage meat formed into a big square slab left to get a bit harder then cut into slices
Looks incredibly gorgeus around that station for sure! Love these sort of train destinations people might not have heard about. Hidden gems and such... Cant wait for the next part Lucy!
We have still have sleeper trains in Canada. I did the Halifax to Montreal run back in 2011. Most of the coaches date from the 1950s. Room was larger than that one, and it had an ensuite bathroom. Also included gourmet meals in the dining car. No sausage on "council white bread". I want to do the Toronto to Vancouver, but it's bloody expensive. There's a reason why we fly and drive everywhere. Long distance trains are mostly used by tourists.
I just found your channel. I foster special need kids at the moment I have a teenage girl who loves seeing new places she has autism and doesnt cope well with noise she has watched your video so many times as it's not only interesting but calm. So well done you made her day❤.
Julie, did you find the channel ‘all the stations’ yet? Geoff and Vicky went to every station in the U.K. it was very well filmed and quite a few of us have watched the entire series more than once, myself included. It’s become a sort of safe place.
Completed a walk around that loch back in the 80s with my wife and two dogs. At the point furthest from the station one of the dogs fell down a culvet and smashed her jaw on a rock. I can still hear the crunch. That was a long journey back to the Fort William vet. She recovered. Great scenery.
I immediately guessed Corrour. I did the West Highland Way in 2010. The train stopped there on the way back from Fort William. I just thought: What a perfect station, I should start a hike here... but never did, unfortunately.
A bit of a missed opportunity of doing a more thorough review of the train, it seemed really cool. What a cool little station though. Props to that land owner who demanded it.
My wife and I love train travel having taken trips from our home in Topeka, KS to Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Salt Lake City and we look forward to our next adventure. Remote stops are always most interesting, you just never know what you’ll see. Oh and sleeper rooms are awesome, try upgrading to the next size room Lucy, you’ll really enjoy the experience.
Lucy 🎉😊. Next go to this crazy hobbit village in North Wales : Llangollen. It's remote beautiful and filled with people who like Tolkien and all that kind of thing
I worked at Corrour station house a good few years back, the 17 mile journey from the road end near Loch laggan was great. The satellite internet was not so great though
@@protolexis It doesn't look any more abysmal than salami or pepperoni. You're just not used to it. I don't know when it became acceptable to criticise the appearance of food from other cultures.
Corrour... The UK's equivalent to Hallingskeid station on the Bergen line here in Norway (Finse does have a Hotel, after all, even if that too is high up in the mountains and without any other connection to the outside world other than by rail...). Hallinskeid is protected by a snow/wind cover, though, as the weather up there can be very(!) harsch indeed.
'The Signalman' was filmed in a location very similar to this. I rented the video in 2000, but haven't found any reference to it since. The story is about a woman who gets off at the wrong station and ends up living there. A postman on a motorcycle comes along once in a while. The signalman is the only other person there.
Always love the Lucy videos. I have been watching Lucy since she started her channel and stood in a field and shared " Hi, I'am Lucy". Out of all her Drivetribe, Foodtribe, and What Next video adventures and travels eating that sushi sausage is the most DANGEROUS thing Lucy has done. Could haggis be on the menu for the next video??? Looks like a one way ticket from London to the "end of the line" on the caledonian sleeper weekday was running about 145 pounds with a discount promo. Here in the USA an Amtrak Roomette is way more expensive.
Driven part of the Highland line from Fort William to Tyndrum. Got a photo of the engine I was training on up there. The signal box is an Air B&B type thing now if memory serves. Absolutely incredible place. And the vehicle on the rails is known as an RRV, or, Road Rail Vehicle.
The car on the track is how Network rail maintain the west highland line. In such remote places. Rannoch to corrour is mainly built on a peat and bog track.great video.❤
Always loved the idea of sleeper trains. Never seen a 2-car train in service for passengers before, but I guess it makes total sense if it's for the handful of people going to remote areas. Clever move by that landowner. A personal train stop.
The only time I have seen a 2 car train for passengers was the Portsmouth to Cardiff First Great Western service, which was ridiculous considering whenever I used it the train would be packed. I think they have now increased it to 3 train cars now though.
@@llpalm08 Probably one of those "don't fix it if it ain't broke" situations. _It's worked since 1850. Why change it now?_ And someone finally changes it super late. Shortest train I've been on in NYC is the 3-car shuttle train between Grand Central and Time Square. 2 terminal stops. 90 second ride.
The trainwheels that the car used is the same they use for tractors that work on the tracks , a friend of my brother owns a couple of tractors that have thoose kits
I thought I recognised you as the DriveTribe young lady. I know Corrour as I’ve travelled through there many times. Likewise Rannoch just down the line is just as remote. Nice travel vlog.
9:40 drives off?.... pulls... away?🤷🏼♂️ 🤣so sweet! For some reason Lucy's hesitation here had me lol-ing over my breakfast!👍🤣 Love the videos, they're getting better with each outing... Much love from Australia 👻💙😋
Just had to look up how high the lowest train station in Switzerland is: with 201.58 m it's Riazzino-Cugnasco. On the opposite end is the Jungfraujoch at 3454m, which is accessible for a hefty price...
Thanks for the kind comments guys 🙏
Thought you were heading to Rannoch Station, this was a fun surprise!
Ooh, your own channel too. Subbed 👍
Looking forward to the next episode
About time you had your own channel, no stopping you now
No crust, what is wrong with you
Lucy is getting so comfortable doing travelogs before you know it will be Lucy Our Woman In...
I want her to misspell her own name to a tiny robot hahahaha
The adventures of Bim and Lucky@@kiliang96
James May's reaction to Lucy's bread decrusting was priceless!
Who doesn't love a Lucy travel video, the girl is brilliantly entertaining/informative, looking forward to the next one 😀
I second that😊

It is so Tasty and my favourite 👍👍
No it does!
Or as otherwise known, square sausage. Quite an apt name for it I'd say.
Looks like council-issue white bread. Needs some Lurpak spreadable butter, invented in 1901.
Those square lorne sausages will give you cancer.
I was waiting for so long for a new episode of Lucy Travels.
Love this series!
This was stunningly enough (for me at least) quite a joyful video to watch. Thank you Lucy & Eve for this lovely video (:
This is definitely the way to go. Id happily watch plenty more Lucy travalogues, she the real MVP of this channel. Keep 'em coming!
FINALLY, I was thinking this channel had finished. We need way more of Lucy on our screens

Honestly, if "What Next" just becomes the Lucy Travels channel I'm 100% on board!!! No offense to Mike!
Theres something very gentle and relaxing about these Lucy videos - could watch them all day 😊
Time for more Lucy!!
I like how she acknowledged the judgment over the bread crust
Always happy to see some Lucy Brown travel action!
We need more Lucy!!
Totally. 😊. We like Lucy
Fantastic watch! Trainspotting and T2 are up there on best movies of all time. Very cool to see this. Thanks!
Another great video from Lucy, can't wait for the next one
Great Job Lovely Lucy brown!! always a treat!
I went there last year, its so beautiful & peaceful
Yay! More Lucy travel videos.
Watching Lucy eat lorne sausage is the best thing I've seen on the internet this year.
Very cool and informative. 👍 Thanks Lucy! Next time I get to UK I want to do this!
Looks incredibly gorgeus around that station for sure! Love these sort of train destinations people might not have heard about. Hidden gems and such... Cant wait for the next part Lucy!
We need more Lucy Brown ❤
It would be pretty funny if they matched up Lucy with James May in that small space
James could show up in some obscure vehicle, to provide ground transportation
more Lucy please. she is a delightful change to the plastic enhanced travel channels
We need more Lucy travel shows!
Always brightens my day to watch a Lucy vlog, be well 😀
Best line has to be; "Judge me, go on"
Great ❤ video , well done Lucy. Very impressed

I mean this as someone who's watched the guy since about 2015, this feels like a Tom Scott video.
The cabin is so cozy and delightful
Love these videos, wish there was more of them.
7:13 The Moment Lucy regretted her decision to board the train. Anyway, love the videos.
My son did this same journey in the summer on the sleeper, he thoroughly recommended the restaurant,

I'm watching this on a commuter train to Tokyo, so I've got authentic background sound effects!
What a brilliant video, I've done the Sleeper train to Fort William a couple of times and been to Corrour Station as well. Lovely part of the world ❤

Lucy is amazing on camera :)
That "weird" sausage is sliced or lorne or square sausage, very common up here in god's country, and it's delicious
