This is Part I where I cover the basic setup and regular functions. in Part II I will cover Sensor functions. Very nice! After your videos got me to buy a Rangeman and a PRG-270, I also bought a GWN-1000 (the cheaper triple sensor), terrific watch! This one's cool but MUCH more expensive. Still wonderful.

You are absolutely right! It sounds like he gets about 110% utility out of this watch! Presumably, he exploits Absolute Toughness & Shock Resistance and the Sapphire Crystal to neutralize threats!! He should be Poster Boy/Brand Ambassador for MASTER OF G... no no.. hold on.. on second thought, he deserves a NEW TITLE... something like LORD OF G!

I must admit it's one of the nicest G's I have handled
this vid exactly shows why i love digital over analog.. lol.
My only correction regarding the battery is if you have the power save function on, you CAN throw it in a dark drawer. Because after some time (I can't recall how long), the watch will completely shut down ALL operations until it is either moved or detects light.

Great video, thank you for the breakdown. Question for Watch Geek or anyone else if they happen upon this post. My biggest complaint of my other G-Shock (newest Mudmaster GWG-2000) is the very weak/low volument alarm chime. I honestly cannot hear it unless it's next to my ear. I know this is a known issue, but I've also heard from others that it does vary a bit by Master of G models. How's it for this Gulfmaster?
Thanks for these tutorials on this watch. I used both of them to setup mine. One thing I am I cannot seem to figure out is that my Sunrise/Sunset times are about an hour early. I have the correct Home city (CST, Chicago) and manually adjusted the Long./Lat. to the more exact location. Any ideas?
Your lat and long has to be off! I just set mine up and it's dead on with my GPRB 1000! You googled your location? Just got this watch today!
@@daddyshark702 , yes, I just received it today. I triple checked the long/lat coordinates but it has not changed the sunrise and sunset. I read it may resolve after it receives the atomic signal.

It works with the barometer, tells you if current is over or under the last reading

Thank you for your helpful review. I just received this watch yesterday. It's an incredible and beautiful watch. Do you know how radio control will work if Paris stays at GMT +2 when DST will be canceled in 2021 ? Do you think Casio could update the software or could it be some hacks to keep radio control and tide/moon/sun settings after 2021?
There's no need for a software update, just turn off the DST manually and the watch will ignore it even when it adjusts itself

In amazon is 7cr in ebay is 7jp from japan,
My doubts is the version japanese the menu of the watch is in japanese or the watch can change it at English.
so there is no neap/spring tide graph here or visual representation of the moon phase. darn.

@@WatchGeek Hello again, yesterday I learned to setup my new GA-700UC with your excellent tutorial. As I told you before, I've had a GN-1000b for over a year, but the set up was all wrong and the needle hands were all over the place, but with the manual and all I learned from the 700UC video, I finally can wear it proudly. Hi sir, first of all thank you for these amazing explained tutorials, i have this watch for couple of days now and i already now all the functions thanks to you... i have noticed one small thing i would like to ask you, my home town (city) keeps changing to Mad, but im on Paris, i change it and next day its again Mad (Madrid i suppose) something to do with DST? I have it on auto. Already did a manual RC and it does it correctly every night at 2:02. Thank you in advance for your feedback. Cheers.

Yes i know that, so there might be a problem with the watch? Or i do have another theory which i might be the problem, when i pull out the crown i slightly turn it or something which swithes to Mad because its the next city in list... is it that responsive tou think?
How to read moon face... I can see the watch has moon face but how to read it?
It's roughly 7 days per quarter (not exact, but it gets you in the ballpark). 1st Qtr = 7 days, Full = 14-15 days, 3rd Qtr = 21-22 days, New = 29/0 days.
Watch Geek, I am planning to buy GWN-q1000, is it true that it has existing issue and when is those made or manufacturer date?
It used to have but i dont know if and when they fixed it

@@cjinevitable4781 I had the same concerns about this watch. Apparently Casio solved this a long time ago. If you still want to buy it try to buy one made in the past 2y or so just to be sure. This is a beauty and was worth every penny, bought mine for 500 and something $, now some versions reach more than 3000 $... which doesn't make any sense. Either way I love it and cuz of the stupid issue made this watch quite undesirable and not that common as the rest of Master of Gs, which is a petty... Good luck.
