Watching this scene takes me back to watching HBO at night in the early 80's to a degree that I can't even explain...we used to watch a VHS copy that we recorded for years!
I bought the DVD and just to be safe I also purchased a digital copy so I’ll always have it this was my favorite childhood movie of the 80s and of all time
Worked at a Sci-Fi convention about 20 years ago. I went to the hotel restaurant early for breakfast and Stephen Furst recognized me and asked if he could join me. What a nice guy!
One of my favorite movies of all time! It's right up there with "It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World". Great score by Julius Wechter of the Baja Marimba Band.
watched it so much on hbo when i was little. Then years went by and never saw it. one time thought the movie was Midnight Run..couldn't remember the name..then in the late 90s found the dvd. Such memories this brings me.
I have been trying to remember this movie's name forever! I watched it when I was little and loved it! It was so fun and goofy and clean, as I recall. Thanks!
@@BabyDachi75Afterwards Melio knocks the ball across the van which angers Harold and he then pushes Melio onto the van floor shouting "YOU IDIOT"!!!!!!
I love this movie! It brings back a lot of memories! God girls were gorgeous back then and I so miss the roller skates and high socks. I so miss the 70's! Thank you for putting this up!
I used to watch that movie, when I was 14 years old. This movie back in the old days, my favorite character was Michael J. Fox, he was best character on the movie. I like the song, brings back to life.
Omg I used to sing this song for years and I remembered it faintly the beginning sequence. I only remember singing the midnight madness part. I don’t remember the movie at all just the theme song. The song doesn’t sound like what I remember either but I always thought I made it up. Now I know it actually exists!
I've heard of this movie, but I never seen the whole film it looks like a fun movie I do remember the chicks on the roller skates any One know their names riddle me that.
saw this movie when it came out when i was 11 one of my favorites when i was a tween of course the acting sucked but sympnosis was an original scavenger hunt type plot plus the song,a bit of disco, rocks Good song. How about a remake😊
Michael J. Fox said in a mid-1990s Entertainment Weekly article he was cast because California laws prohibited anyone under 18 filming past certain times at night. He was 18 but Scott was supposed to be a middle-schooler. Ironically David Naughton was almost 30.
Music by Julius Wechter? How did I never notice that before? You know who Julius Wechter was, right? Leader of the Baja Marimba Band and composer of Herb Alpert's hit "Spanish Flea"?
I finally found out the names of the hot chicks on roller skates YAY ME! Their namas are Kirsten Baker she played CandI and Deborah Richer she played Sunshine you gotta have a movie with hot chicks sex sells what can I say? I'm a guy I'm just saying.
I made a rock cover of this song (with two new verses that were approved by composer/writer/director David Wechter) that just got released. I thought it was going to take longer to get the licensing, so the music video isn't done yet, but the song hit UA-cam today: ua-cam.com/video/SWyRoazsU80/v-deo.html
It's too bad Debbie Clinger was as sick as she was when the song needed to be recorded...she would've been awesome as the lead vocalist...But Donna does sing it very nicely also
great movie, long before Disney felt compelled to push politics constantly. So many great actors and bit players in this, along with classic Los Angeles scenery!
S1500 yea it was that wear crossover 80s was trying to find its style but still heavily influenced by the 70s reminds of something you would hear in roller boogie :)
Well, you COULD send them an angry letter, e-mail or tweet requesting they add it. But, like they always say: "It doesn't matter what you say, doesn't matter what you do."
This movie is extremely underrated. It deserves more love.
