This was my favorite arcade game from my childhood. My biggest disappointment after finally defeating the final boss (a good number of years and $$s later) was that it only had 5 stages of play. The graphics, game play, and sound were superb for its time.
It's super satisfying when you beat this game. It's a royal pain in the ass but if you know the weak spots then you can crush this game. Would love to beat it on an actual arcade machine instead of a emulator though.
Thanks for watching the video, you are right, as the original arcade cannot be compared to the emulator, but nowadays it is difficult to find an arcade, but it has been a long time since I see an original arcade, even at retro game fairs they install emulators in the booths, and even if there is an authentic arcade I have not seen any with this game. Greetings
Dang, this game is short as s*** compared to the NES version, but challenging as f***. I still can't get over that dorky jump flip, though. Good thing that didn't crossover to the NES and the many sequels after. XD Excellent speedrun.
Machine gun is easily the best weapon for this game, especially when it is upgraded. Spread gun is good. But most enemies are either in front of, or behind you.
Im just glad someone can think that any weapon is a good weapon as long as you know how to use it....spread fire is not a bad weapon but I think it becomes wierd without trying other weapons.....can u do the lazer or canister next time?
_This_ is what I remember seeing in the arcade 30 years ago! That super machine gun was just beautiful.
Yeah!!! I agree, with "booble gun" the game is easier, but with machine gun wapon bosses have no chance jejeje. It's a great game!

It really is one of the shortest games I've ever seen, but it's still a very challenging one.

Well that was anticlimactic!

I have been playing this game in 8 bit
Is this game is 16 bit?
no, this game is arcade machine
@@troyar but what bit is it
@@Austinc5904 Searched it up, and apparently to the fandom wiki, it is 16-bit.
Yeah, this is 16-bit since this is the Arcade and original version of Super Contra. While Super C was the 8-bit NES port.
@@frozenburst64 i guess in bit wars arcade machines was ahead of everything else, (nes, genesis)
8:01 Did Dracula just come out of Red Falcon there? He got lost in the wrong Konami series
