Wow, absolutely stunning work exterior and interior! Manages to put Cirrus to shame, and the OEM paint quality isn't even bad compared to some other manufacturers. No wonder they have a two year waitlist, they should expand their business! There's always high demand for good aircraft paint shops. Great to see people who love and care about their planes to this degree. Happy flying my friend!
Well it wasn’t a diss to my wife. My wife and I are not professional photographers and I do 1/2 the filming and all the editing, so if it was a diss, the diss is more on me than anyone 😆
Excellent walk around, awesome attention to detail, after this my buddy and I are looking into this. If it’s too much to ask what was your cost of aircraft and all in on upgrades?
Love the quality and effort you guys put into your videos. You ALMOST have me sold on the cirrus from my restored Piper Arrow but I just can’t get behind the required 10 year parachute repack and the cost associated with them. It’s a great safety feature but it’s an insane cost for an optional safety feature. I say “optional” because it’s the pilot’s discretion whether it’s used or not when the time comes; not an automatic deployment. I just can’t justify having to drop 20k for a repack when the system for 9.9 years is expected to work. Great looking plane and awesome content nonetheless.
Thanks for watching the channel regularly! Yah I hear you about the parachute. It’s an expensive optional emergency procedure. But, if we ever go down, I’m going to feel it was the best money that could ever be spent! It’s all relative and hindsight I guess.
Awesome work. We have a 2010 22N; took delivery Dec 21 which was the first delivery day w ESP. We know Ross, George & Jim well. Ours flies regularly and is in terrific condition…however you do have us thinking…
Absolutely amazing! Thanks for creating this video. It really shows what you can do with great taste and a lot of work. I'm very impressed by your knowledge and what you've done with your aircraft. As you know I'm buying a G3 to do a bit of the same here in the south of France. Now I need to find someone who can do it on this side of the Atlantic, otherwise I'll have to fly across to you... Thanks again for such an inspiring video. Looking forward to the next.
Thank you for your kind comment! Pretty cool you live in the south of France, looking forward to visiting someday. Currently in Europe. Croatia, Switzerland, Austria, Germany. Amazing countries out here, just gorgeous. It would be an adventure to fly it to the states for the work… and you would not be disappointed with the results or the experience. Let me know if I can help.
5:31 We see that happen around the prop with scratches on the spinner. In our shop, we use a modified Fiskars Double-Sided Self Healing Rotary Cutting Mat to slide between the prop and cowl to create a safe barrier. I would include a picture, but not sure how to do that. We use those mats modified different ways to protect the interiors when you take the seats out. It helps a lot.
I would like to see that material you use. We use cardboard with a 1/2 circle cut out of it to be placed between the spinner and the cowlings before removal and reinstall.
His attention to detail is amazing, love the plane. Then…… I saw the cyber truck. I can only imagine someone with this much style would never own something as such. Must have been someone else’s
Really nice work. Super impressed by the quality / fit and finish of the work you had done. Curious to know total accumulated down time for all the upgrades?
Thank you. Figure all in it took parts of 2 years and $180k. But, a small portion of those costs would have been required anyway as preventative maintenance.
Such a nice Airplane, and an amazing Hanger as well. I really enjoyed hearing the explanation of all the attention to detail in the upgrades. It did to the Airplane. I was also curious about your switch from as you call it amateur hour, to using an actual videographer. I’ve been wondering if it’s time for me to make that move as well.anyway, thanks for sharing your amazing Airplane with us! Fly well!
After everything was all said and done, what did the rehab run? I am debating what I want to do on mine.. will need new engine in few years. Thinking of wait listing in meantime..
Great Job on this and great piece for anyone tethering on new vs used and then going All in.. doing this to ours and u gave me a couple extra thoughts or additives. Love a lot of you guys content so keep it coming.. Question ref the ppf and what your company provides..would love to chat ref your service for that and ceramic
Generally when pilots think of airplane upgrades they are thinking performance enhancing upgrades. I should have known that if it’s a cirrus it’s going to be all about paint and interior. You did not break any cirrus pilot stereotypes. That being said your plane look beautiful and if great aesthetics was your goal you nailed it. Don’t take my comments too seriously, I fly a Mooney and probably exemplify the Mooney pilot stereotype pretty well.
Keep watching. I explain three engine performance upgrades, post engine stats and explain four avionic upgrades. If you watch our content, you will see we are definitely not typical Cirrus owners. Not saying anything bad about cirrus owners, but we are far from the typical.
Hey Mike! I’ve been watching your channel for years. Love your content. Haha! This one I think is a Lulu. Also try 7 Diamonds and Vuori. I think both would fit you well.
My SR22 was also done by Midwest and I’m curious if the PPF and ceramic cost. Also does the ceramic affect the tks fluid from working at its full potential? Beautiful plane though, I have alot of the same upgrades and love it.
The ppf you see on this one adds about $800 over the factory kit. The paint correcting and ceramic are just under $5k. From what we have noticed with ceramic and tks performance, the ceramic helps shed ice quicker from the lift surfaces. Tks somehow glazes the wing a little longer than without ceramic.
@@Elivate. thank you for the info. Who did the PPF? Did the PPF affect W/B much? Just curious because mine is TN and has ac so I’m already down to 880 on useful load.
I definitely did not get all of those. The approaches for sure I didn’t get any chance that you can share your shop so I could give them a call and see if they can have a chat with my avionic shop or something of that sort
A few pounds with the extra leather and vinyl. They sand off all the old paint before the re-paint. The only true weight change was the battery and analog backup gauge removal.
The avionic shop that installed it stated that the only things they could do was attitude turn coordination, and altimeter. I know that it has much more capabilities than what it’s doing right now. What does yours do different from what I’ve mentioned? And as a sideline note, I love the interior that you did on this Aircraft. I’m getting ready to have mine done and I haven’t selected a shop to get it done. I’m down in Florida.
At first I thought this guy was a perfectionist freak but by the end of the video I knew he was. When you have beautiful buildings, a beautiful wife and beautiful mistresses you don’t need a shiny perfect car, boat or airplane. I know guys on my lake that buy these toys but have zero muscle on their bodies. Buy a pickleball paddle…it is a free sport and will rip you up with a good diet. I wonder if Midwest would redo my pickleball paddle?
Isn’t it interesting how some humans try to create a negative out of any positive. That mindset is an opposition to progress, technology, safety and comfort.
@@Elivate. Since you mentioned the mentality, let me tell you that the advertising mentality is sick. There is a difference between progress and technology and the idiot trap.
@@ArazQizilbash because the cirrus needed an extra half turn to exit a spin to meet USA specs they had two options... Taller rudder which would slow the plane down or add a parachute that has way more benefits. Also a brilliant marketing plan. I own an SR22turbo and a Turbo prop. Beautiful plane and super presentation.
Thank you very much
The plane is phenomenal, one of the best I have seen.
Thank you very much!
That paint job is great, I was hoping you cranked it up and gave us an outside shot of a takeoff
Not a bad idea!
Wow, this is beyond perfection. Awesome job and thanks for sharing. I’d love to buy this plane if/when you decide to sell it. Phenomenal Job
Thank you for such kind words. I’ll keep that in mind.

Aren’t they? Look forward to your paint that is a very exciting process!
Midwest really knocked it out of the park on that one!!
They really did! Thank you for watching and I hope you are along for more coming up!

You made it fun and it turned out great. Next one will be even better. Thanks Alex!

what a so unique cirrus

Nice
Did this G3 come with G1000 original or was the avidyne ?
G1000. You cannot convert an avidyne plane to a G1000 plane, I do not believe there is an STC available for that.
Amazing work 🍻

elivateaircraft.com took care of the ppf. Ppf does not affect weight and balance. Total weight of all the ppf on the plane is less than 1lb.
You did absolutely the best job on this upgrade that could have been done. I am sure it cost you a ton.
We are happy you like it!
Did all this work make the plane heavier?
No. Roughly dropped 25 lbs with the changes. The older backup gauges and battery were heavy.
Love the seat color. Do you mind sharing what color tan that is?
Let me check and get back to you.
Noble Summer Harvest

How is the useful load after all the upgrades compared to stock?
Gained about 27 lbs with all the changes so I think it’s 921 lbs.

For sure. PM me
Maybe a dumb question but, does TKS fluid affect the ceramic coatings at all?
Not that we have seen. It can actually protect the coating when flying through precip as it’s a hydrophobic barrier.
What was the weight change from old paint interior to new paint and interior
A few pounds with the extra leather and vinyl. They sand off all the old paint before the re-paint. The only true weight change was the battery and analog backup gauge removal.
I have the GI275 upgrade, were you able to use all the features of the GI275? How limited were you if you couldn't?
No, it cannot support baro sync. Everything else it can do! Did you experience something similar?

Did they connect a dedicated GPS antenna to yours? I believe it has to be an IFR rated antenna to receive all features, but I could be wrong.
They did connect an antenna to it what all does yours do?
Can you see traffic
Can you please share the name of the other color? I got the black, titanium and ? Thanks

Stainless steel bolts can create galvanic corrosion when fastening against disparate metals. Is that an issue here?
True, but stainless is friendly with most alloys. With Cirrus there is no dissimilar metal galvanizing that can happen at these locations.
nice!!!!!!1!1
The real question is what does your LLC do?
It only owns the airplane as a holding company.
A cirrus is certified to spin in Europe where they actually spin in training. Go ask ai.
