Thanks for the great lesson. Of all the drop thumb lessons out there, you are one of the few folks that actually explain where to put a drop thumb in a tune! It was very helpful to watch you “ on the fly” figure out where the drop thumbs sound good and fit in, thanks very much and I admire your boldness in sharing your faith
thank you soooo much for sharing this. it’s incredibly helpful. i love your videos. also the background noise outside reminds me of home 🥰
“That looks impossible, I don’t get how people actually do that. I doubt that I’ll ever be able to play like that.” ... That’s what I used to say when I first bought a banjo and was trying to learn the “dum-bitty”, frailing strum. For hours upon hours, now I’m “bum dittying” right along without an issue. It’s like second nature and I’ve even explored out of open tuning and into the world of double tuning. The same thing I said about the “Dum-Ditty” in the beginning, I’m saying now about drop-thumbing, I will get this! 😂😂
Your videos are as great as your heart, thank you for the time that you put into these videos to share with everyone. It’s very beneficial.
Great comment and I mirror your thoughts exactly ! 🍻
very nice job of explaining it and showing it. I'll try that later today doing Cripple Creek. Glad you picked that tune.
What did you add to your banjo in the first fret? It looks like inlay? How about at the top of the scoop?
Very observant. Not inlay, but stickers made for instruments. The 1st fret has a hummingbird, above the scoop is one with my name on it. Gifts from my husband. I love them and I’m putting hummingbirds on the first fret of everything eventually. 😃
@@BanjoLemonade cool! Thanks for explaining
Great tutorial. If Jesus is real and really loves us, why does he allow so much pain, war, cruelty, disease , crime and hunger in the world? It doesn’t feel like love
Jesus is not in control of this world. Grab a Bible and start reading to find out more.
