Wonderful Marriott Budapest not only has a fab-location, but equally fab-views of the Danube. And I think the fabled "Blue" Danube is more grey than blue. What about you?
Good buffet breakfast (we've had better and more extensive but just 'sayin), wonderful MClub and friendly staff.

To answer your question, Rachel: Christianity is the major religion (68% Roman Catholic), 21% Reformed (Calvinist) Protestant and 6% Evangelical (Lutheran) Protestant. I felt safe but it is a city and still wise to take the usual precautions. Sorry for the late reply and hope your New Year is great and you have recovered from your spill! Regards, Sheila

The city looks am azing. Incredible views! I wonder if the Danube was ever blue?! Maybe Johanne Strauss fibbed! I love the hotel. It looks very comfortable.

Our room had a long window seat along the large window with great views of the city. Good hotel!
This is not a JW Marriott. It is simply the Marriott Budapest (formerly known as the Duna Inter-Continental, which opened in 1968) . JW Marriott, along with Ritz-Carlton, is one of several premium Marriott brands.
You are correct, Stephan. Don't know how I came up with putting the JW in the title but bad me! Thanks for the correction.
