Rallying and stunt-driving legend Ken Block joins James May on a rather quiet airfield in California. Quiet that is until he turns the airfield into a playground and shows off his Sabaru-sliding skills against dirt-biking champion Ricky Carmichael!

Rest In Peace, Kenny. Ken is a huge reason I love cars and motor sport.
glad I wasnt the only one that came here after hearing about him die.
Same I had to come pay the respects
I had to come watch these old videos too to pay respects. Glad I’m in good company
I still can’t believe it:( May he rest in peace. What a fuckin’ legend.
Absolute shocker to hear the news still
Rest in peace Kenny 🙏
RIP Ken Block. You were a great legend. Race on in heaven, brother.
Absolutely broken hearted… Been watching this dude for decades… RIP brother
Not to be a prick but he is a legend, now so more than I life as he can never be recreated. RIP Kenny BBB (Big Balls Block)
This was the episode that introduced me to Ken and his gymkhanas. We’ve lost another legend. Thanks for the memories, man.
Same that's why I'm here
Same here mate. Can't believe he's gone rest in peace brother
Same for me
Ditto. This is what started for me as well. Still stunned that Ken Block is gone. Thoughts to his family, can't imagine how they are coping.
Watching this now it’s so odd seeing how different ken block looks
Well he ages quickly. I think 😂
Dude he looks more like a race car driver now for sure
Yes, lol

Still got rhe fuck what happens eyes
I've been watching Ken Block videos all day, haven't got much work done to be honest, and this could well be one of my favorites. Where polite Englishmen meet the raw talent of Ken for the 1st time. God speed Ken, thank you for everything!
No wonder this guy is a legend for such driving style
0:34 FaceTube 😂 Gotta love old-fashioned May
K Slays lol
K Slays OMG YESS😂😂😂😂
GameStation
I saw ken block for the first time when this video came out and it is very sad to hear that ken is not there anymore.💔But his legacy will never be forgotten. RIP. #KB43
I'm too(((💔
The car world will never be the same
Some say that he entered the Global Rallycross Championship just because it looked like fun, and that his car's range is measured in miles per tire. All we know is, he's The Hoonigan.
Hahaha
MrRec6
Wonderful!
That’s great!
6:28 The PERFECT landing, butter smooth.
Satisfying ❤❤❤❤❤
RIP Kenny! This video back in the day introduced me to a legend!
Anyone else love the way a rally car sounds over gravel?
I definitely do my friend!
Ye it sounds well good
Indeed
Oh yes
@@falligraphy wtf you'll do your friend 🤔
Watching him drive was something else. Rest in peace Ken.
that scene is incredible. car, plane and bike. on the air
The TopGear camera team at work. I start to suspect they're also doing his Gymkhana videos …
RIP Ken Block. Can't believe it. Thanks for the memories and the carnage throughout the years. Fly high big man 💙
I want to see Ken block vs the Stig.
ever watched rallycross?
***** it doesn't matter how much it cost its about power luck and skill.
***** You aren't really acting adult-like are you?
***** 13 years old? i think you're a 13 year old looking to stir up some hate and call people kid when in fact you are one. I believe this because of the constant loling and the gay joke
MysticStrike ForceSSJ3 you got those words out of my mouth 5 months ago
I lived at Edwards AFB when this was shot, about an hour away. A bunch of us Subaru guys caught wind of it and went up there. Though we couldn't get in to see it, it was a neat little pilgrimage.
It's a tragedy he's gone. Colin, Ken, Travis and countless others helped bring Subaru, rallying and Gymkhana to the masses for the states in the mid oughts. He will be sorely missed.
It's only a Jokes but Travis might wanted to switch brand considering what happened to other Subaru Legends. Richard Burns as well
This video was my first exposure to Ken Block, can't believe he's gone RIP
Mine too.
Almost 10 years old now, and it still gives me the shivers when the GOAT comes out of nowhere! I wish I was still riding Motorcross; miss it so so much!!
Seeing this as a kid I wanted to be just like him. Rest in peace Ken ❤
6:11 is what I'll always remember you for, Mr. Block. Thanks for the inspiration. RIP.
The shot of the wheel locking up for the split second at 2:30...oh god, it's little things like that that make racing so amazing.
Ikr :o
0:30 how to get a account on Facetube or Youbook?

+hadron89 I hear the gamestation 4 is going to be siick

RIP Ken Block, I never forgot this segment, the shot of them jumping in front of the plane in perfect sync is insane.
Shot is so beastttt whoever suggested that deserves a bonus. Wonder how many tries it took
RIP KB - man was the stuff of legends
OMG James eyes when the did the jump had me loling
The same as me I nelly past out lolling

Thanks @TopGear for introducing us to Ken Block, our beloved drift king! RIP Ken, you will be sorely missed.
6:06 Absolute money shot there. Did they choreograph the C-130 in the background, or was that pure luck? Choreographing that, getting the timing just right, would not have been easy.
I’m pretty confident they would have choreographed it, but you’re quite right. It would not have been easy to time.
6:15 James's face... XD XD XD
Wouldn't you be like that too? LOL
Some poos come out - Clarkson
True terror
I think that was when he really puckered up
Had to rewatch this video after hearing about his death. RIP Ken Block, you will be missed.
Think this bit from Top Gear is how I first ever heard of Ken Block. Rest in peace you genuine badass and absolute legend.
One of my most favorite episodes of Top Gear - BBC ever!
Top Gear BBC films everything with such style! Kudos to their production crew!!
Here was where all began. My childhood. Thx for all Ken.
Rest in Peace Ken, I always loved this segment of Top Gear, you made it amazing… the slo mo part with you, the bike and the plane gave me goosebumps at the time of watching it 13 year ago, and still does to this day!!
A legend lost, but not forgotten 😢
"Thats why his videos get over 10million hits" This video got over 10million hits...
make that 45 million on his vids in 2018 xD
On facetube or youbook?
ken blocks still have more tho
The skill and finesse of this legend behind the wheel was unreal
That 3 vehicle slow mo is my favourite single visual from all of Top Gear. RIP Mr Block.
This man was my biggest inspiration when i was a kid. I had pictures of him and his cars up in my room. I came home from school and used to look forward to watching his videos over and over again. Rest in peace Ken 🙏🏻
whoever in the writers room stumbled across a ken block gymkhana video and thougt "well, i'm gonna put james may in it" is my personal hero
Cool. Ken block and Ricky Carmichael. Both amazing.
This was the first clip I thought of when I heard he passed away. Thanks for all the amazing footage.
1:56 will always send a shiver down my spine. Watched this episode probably 20 times in a row the day I found it. That sound is just pure music. I will miss him dearly and my heart goes out to his team and beautiful family❤
ken started rally racing 2005 this is him like 3 years later
The guy with the bike made this AMAZING
Mr Block - I’m just a single mother out here in Texas, and one of my son’s very first fond memories of me is the 2 of us watching your gymkhana videos together. We were gutted to hear the news yesterday. Thank you for everything.
for many of us in the UK this was our first introduction to Ken when this first came out and lets say he left quite the impression on us....RIP LEGEND!!!
This needs to be re-uploaded in HD. Thank you
That was Crazy! Such a smooth landing, and amazing timing to get a C130 flying right inbetween gap in the background as they air it out.
That Top Gear episode was my first time I have met Ken Block. Since then I watched almost every clip with him and enjoyed it a lot. Now it is time to RIP rest in pitstop.
Thank you Ken.
Rewatching all Kens badass driving videos past few days. RIP 43 You have definitely inspired me to chase my dreams like you did for so many others.
I never thought someone could drive a car in a manner, that would effect you so emotionally. A true artist. He will be missed.
One of the most beautiful sounding cars in the world
You obviously haven't heard many cars
Sulphuric_Glue tell me more
+BlackStarMulti Maserati Quattropprte
Renz R. That is a Ferrari, sounds of course great if it would not it would be a shame for Ferrari, but like i said one of the most, not the most beautiful.
BlackStarMulti if you like civics and lawn mowers
I love this video. Can't believe Ken has gone so young.
Keep going up there Ken, you and Evel will ROCK the place!
there are very few drivers who i consider to be icons. ken block is one of them, we were lucky to be here to witness his brilliance. RIP ken you will be missed by everyone
My brother was a pilot and an off road enthusiast. I found this video in 2010. I tried to contact because I knew he would love it. But he died of a heart attack before I made contact with him. I still feel like crap because I was not quicker.
Wow!! Ouch man!! Sorry to hear that. Watching this would be so painful for you but hopefully also trigger some good memories. Hang in there huh
Id like to see ken vs the stig
Cute
Maybe Ken is the stig
the stig is the stig
Stig and Ken are in different categories
These are two very different types of drivers, dude. Ken is a Rally car driver where as all the previous stigs have been mostly F1 racers. Only time I've seen Stiggy do rally was during the Ashes against the Aussies.
My favourite episode of top gear I didn’t know of Ken until I saw it 😢
This was the episode that introduced me to Ken.
His a Legend...🔥🔥🔥😢
This bit is still a head banger after all these years. I'd love to have his car even if I can't do any of that stuff.
I don't know how they managed to choreograph everything with that C-130, but they filmed one of the most iconic moments in Top Gear.
Came back to this as it was the first video I saw with Ken in it, RIP Legend
Legend, icon, pioneer. Thank you for everything Mr. 43
Kenblock: a fast and furious person in real life (just that he's not criminal
Ken a.k.a. "Mr Block" was and still is the best😎😁👏👏👌👌
RIP Kenny from the Block. You were a big reason I got my Subaru STI. You will forever inspire us to have fun with our love for cars.
This was the first time I saw Ken Block and his amazing skills. RIP Ken.
6.15 That look on May's face! Priceles !!!
Absolute gold
This used to be one of my fav videos back in '09. Watching it again in your memory, Ken. RIP.
we need hd quality video cos its so beautiful ♡
Would've been so funny if Block just hit May with the end of his car and just drove off.
Should be re-titled: Captain Slow gets the ride of his life!
Lol
BMW Guy I saw that one on pornhub.
so THAT's what they've been up to since Top Gear went to shit...
Sad to start the year like this. Prayers for the family.
I loved this TG episode.. when I met James May in 2009 at a studio recording I said this was my favourite episode and he agreed.
'riding shotgun with ken from the block'- I Lost It at that one
This was fantastic.
This is the video that introduced me to Ken, I remember the first time i saw it, I was only around 13/14 and i was in awe of his driving skills and how effortless he made it look, We've lost a true driving legend, RIP Ken - 43forever
I remember watching this live with my Dad and Grandfather. Such a special memory as it was one of the last times the three of us where together ❤ rip Ken ❤
An Epic scene at 6:06... it was phenomenal!!!
how can people dislike this
I love how James was given a script to make it look like he's angry but you can tell he's really enjoying it
I adored this clip from the 1st time I saw on tv all those years ago, started a huge love of rally and cars for me. So sad too hear his passing , rip Mr Block
This is how I was first introduced to Ken Block. Met him a few times at races, super friendly and humble guy. Miss him already.
RIP HHIC

"I'm going to need a fresh pair of trousers."
ESPETACULAR.
The first video of ken i watch when i was a 9 and here i am again after 12 years😔
Rest in peace Legend.
This never gets old. Can't believe it's been 13 years. Thanks for taking us on the ride Ken.
Looks like a lot of fun.
The kind of fun I have to admit I am too chicken to do.
Ken Block is amazing.
У этого парня нет нервов!!!!Он даже кайфует от этого!!!!Но это супер!!!!!
I never really paid much attention to rally driving until seeing this all those years ago. Had to come watch it again. God speed 43 🍻
this was the first piece of footage that introduced me to ken, and it changed my whole perception of what a car is and can do, nothing will ever replace him
es una locura el salto al fina
You can tell how much he practiced the route... o-o....
R.I.P You absolute legend, Ken Block 😊💖🙏
James May’s eyes during that jump near the end are priceless!
“Oh yeah that’s just my friend Ricky”
Never knew what my STI could do 😂
RIP forever loved, always remembered, Thank you for all the Extraordinary moments you shared with the world. a True Legend & inspiration. X
Amazing driving!
James May goes from scared to having fun!
The timing to get the car, bike and C-130 in one shot is just amazing.
