You don't need to be a good guitar player to write good songs. I've seen countless musicians go up onstage with a guitar just so they can pose and pretend to play. Bruce Springsteen is a great example. That really annoys me.
Addiction is a demon that never leaves you the same, Johnny died in New Orleans from taking the wrong dose of methodone that his weight and body couldn’t withstand. It might have been a vain attempt to get off The junk!
MarkVL idk if i believe he was murdered but i do know about all his missing shit. i just think some sick MF took advantage of a dying man, or maybe even an already dead one.
Look at the docu Looking For Johnny, they stated in his death certificate that he had lymphatic leukemia, and he had not enough methadone, coke, or drink in his blood to die from. Johnny himself knew he had leukemia from around 1988, around the time his daughter was born. But yeah, I also believe that people took advantage of him dying.
@@thureintun1687 On the black (underground) market methadone is expensive and JT had a lot of it at that time. Especially if a criminal/druguser think he can get away with it (and they did...) they take a life just as easy. so wierd to see JT playing during the day.
because most of his gigs look like they were shot at 2am.

Brilliant! I was in a conversation recently with a Jeff Beck fan who seriously claimed that Thunders only could play three chords. 🙄
Only two chords here. It's what you do with them that counts. Screw them. Johnny Thunders was great.
As if that is meaningful. Anyone that would say that doesn't understand rock and roll or music in general. Is their favorite band Rush? jesus
