    Martin Luther King Jr was from Atlanta, Georgia, not Alabama. His home has been turned into a museum in Atlanta. It’s not as popular for visitors though as the aquarium (which is the world’s largest) or the World of Coke, but it’s a cool historical site.

    Buffalo is actually the second most populated city in New York I think

  • @BuckBlaziken
    @BuckBlaziken 3 роки тому +20

    As a New Yorker myself, I can tell you that New York took some land from Vermont. New York is like 95% farmland. New York is actually 90% republican in terms of counties, population wise though it’s mostly Democrat. It’s the only state which has towns named Rome and Carthage next to each other. Other towns nearby are named Mexico, Poland, and Denmark. And if you say you’re from New York people immediately assume you’re from either NYC, Buffalo, or Syracuse.
    Also Kansas has a lot of history pre-civil war. It was a place of a lot of violence and conflict due to when it was becoming a state, congress gave it a choice to become either a slave state or free state. Northerners and slave owners poured into the state to try and flip the vote in their own favor to get more voting power over the other in congress. This time period of violence and fighting was known as Bleeding Kansas. In the end tho, Kansas became a free state. As soon as Kansas entered the US as a new state, South Carolina got salty and fed up with northerners seemingly getting preference from the us government that South Carolina left the union, followed by the other southern states which formed the confederation of states of America, which sparked the civil war..

      Well, we got the Upper Peninsula because of the Toledo Strip War when those slimy Ohioans stole land from the Michigan Territory. When it came time for the Michigan Territory to become a state, the thieving Ohioans struck and claimed some of OUR land. The Governor of the Michigan Territory raised the Glorious Michigan Militia to defend our boarders. Each of our brave lads was easily a match for any ten members of that disorganized bandit gang of scum known as the Ohio Militia. The two forces started moving towards each other and met at the Maumee River. A great battle ensued and due to the superior nature of the Michigan Militia over the degenerates in the Ohio Militia, the Michigan forces suffered no casualties. Before the Michigan Militia could press their advantage, the US Army arrived and put an end to the war. Through various underhanded and dishonorable political shenanigans (I would not be surprised if bribery and extortion was involved as Ohioans by their very nature really are that low) Ohio was awarded the Toledo Strip. In compensation the Upper Peninsula was made a part of Michigan.

    Talking about Missouri, go to Branson. Situated in the Ozark Mountains, they have a lot of nice musical shows and small attractions and Silver Dollar City Amusement Park.
