FFG are really giving players a chance to catch up and play on a level playing field no matter the ships they have in their collection. Excellent work FFG, video not bad either boss
I never knew there were so many different options for devices, partly because I'm new to X-wing (I only started this Christmas), but this is defo something that would make my games more diverse
It all depends on how deep do you want to go. You can just play casual with a friend and agree to get different factions. Start slow and enjoy the first ships you get. Option 2 is you get a faction and play casual in stores or go full competitive in stores and just search online for deck builds that are meta. Option 3 you buy every ship that gives you nostalgia and the bigger fun factor. It can get as expensive as you want it to be. Once you buy your first expansions, the enjoyment its going to last you for quite some time and then later on you can decide if you want more.
Tbh I might just snap pictures of this and print it out myself. I just feel like I'll be purchasing the cards and the charges alone (those black and white tokens) for $15. I have mostly everything else. Including the VP which came in the epic battles. Like you said, for a beginner: really good. On the other hand I won't be supporting this and I really want them to keep doing this sort of stuff for casual fun play....... I'll see in Amazon when it drops in price. :P
The cards make it so that we ignore normal rules when it comes to that. So; yes, you could have an X-Wing with a seismic charge/ proximity mine or a Tie Fighter with proton torpedoes, though they wouldn't be able to fire them since they don't have the target lock action. I hope that answered your question.

just getting into x wing, thnks for the insight
Man new environments also cluster mines back in 2.0. Thanks to ffg making bombs fun again for casual play.
All of that and they can't throw in a few of the 2.0 shield tokens?
This is a great concept. Good job FFG!
I should be attending an environment cards tournament in a couple of weeks, will be interesting to see how it pans out
Interesting idea, I'm debating on getting into xwing, but time & money are certinely a factor!
So true

This is a great pack for newer players, but the environment cards add something for old players too!
Got to get one. Love the conditions!

Cluster mines are back
Bomberman time~
Watching all the xwing stuff lately make sad that circumstances won't allow me to play.
Can ships without a device add one I am curious about that

1E.
I’m disappointed that this pack doesn’t come with anything unique to it for normal gameplay.
No Pe Cluster Mines and Ion Bombs are new for 2nd edition and only found in this pack.
It does... some new devices for 2.0
True, my bad.
Gawd who has a partner who plays X-Wing and would want tokens for a gift?
