The more I see the SF1 characters, it's a shame how forgotten some of them are by Capcom, such as Mike, Joe and Lee, as well as Eagle, if they will ever return, who knows if with updated designs or in the hard case of a remake of the first game on the 40th anniversary of the saga in 2027, which I doubt will happen, although hope is not lost. Although there are the SF6 dlcs, I'm afraid that they will only go the way they have always been doing, bringing in pure returned from the second, third, fourth and fifth game than from the first, although we have the return of Retsu but unfortunately as an NPC that is playable as such... A definitive SF for me would be to bring all the characters from the games of the franchise that we already know, such as they could be from the second, if they have to bring several of them out of oblivion I wouldn't mind at all, they need recognition and that's it...
They were forgotten for a reason, to generic and boring, most of their designs were remade to be more memorable, like mike became m bison, Joe became cody, geki because vega etc
@@diba9281 Even if they wanted to remake them from scratch and they don't have a strong resemblance or are similar to each other because you have to realize that Joe existed almost 2 yrs before Cody as well as 4 before Guile, they are different characters even if they have served or not as a shell to inspire or base themselves when creating one, two or more. A breath of fresh air for these forgotten characters is to give them their own movesets, whether they are interesting or uninteresting, that depends, although I find a roster with powers and not just hand-to-hand combat a bit tiring, and that's what holds me back, whether ppl like them or not, they'll know because I don't think SF1 characters are material for competitive, necessarily or unnecessarily they aim it that way. That they are boring and generic, well, we are talking about the same ppl who made the first game and I think I read that they went to SNK creating games like Fatal Fury, King of Fighters and Art of Fighting, etc... and I think Joe served as a prototype to create Terry Bogard and the rest is history, I even find him more famous that Cody existed two years before him.

I just realized Ryu's gloves were brown for SF2 and SF6 while the rest are red. Maybe to differentiate from Ken? Even Smash bros went with red and he's heavily baed off SF2, minus the parry and focus attack.
The likes of Ken should be: “women, pasta” Ken is the BEST character in SF to be a ladiesman! And Ryu’s name is not just Ryu! He’s got a last name: Hoshi!
