    • @nikkiofthevalley
      @nikkiofthevalley Рік тому

      @@roxtaze5553 That even makes sense in a programming sense -- A "buffer" in this context would be a bit of memory (in the case of storing actual objects as data, this memory would be absolutely gigantic. Probably on the scale of exabytes at a minimum.) that simply stores this object encoded as data. And then the magical matter creator will replicate the object in the buffer, then the buffer will be cleared.
      Also, the sheer ridiculousness of the size of memory you'd need for this cannot be overstated. You would need star systems worth of material to make a modern RAM stick that contains that much memory. And the latency would be massive due to the sheer size you'd have to make the chips.

    I would HIGHLY recommend making a small grid wall-climber with mag plates, rotors, hinges, and pistons, to scale the mountain. Equip it with like 2 outside vents pulling in oxygen and 2 inside vents, and if you have the Small Ship Mega Modpack, use the 1x1x2 Custom Oxygen Tanks over the 3x3x2 vanilla small grid Oxygen Tanks to save space, and maybe a single medium cargo container with basic supplies and, if it can hold it, the exact resources needed to build a second Wall-Climber but stationary without the legs, as your first waypoint when you reach the top.

    Ooooooooooooo!!! For the large spaces up top while you're exploring, set up a wind turbine, a rotor, and a small grid oxygen tank and vent set to depressurize, with a small battery there to keep things going between wind storms. It'd be super cheep, and take minimal trips. and once the first one is done, you can bring up a cargo container (some assembly required), load it with "beacons" and start exploring! The best part is, if you start from the first one "full", you can pretty much determine just how far apart they need to be, and how many oxygen tanks you actually need (a station every X tanks)

    I think MES works by "distance traveled" not "traveled from your original base"and I suspect that even traveling to and from your ice mine you guys have traveled plenty far enough to have triggered spawns. I wonder if the altitude of the atmosphere is so low that MES is having trouble finding a place to spawn things. Splitie was talking about this in a recent build stream and I think there are some troubleshooting commands built into MES you might be able to look into. At the very least I know there are commands that will explicitly spawn things, you could take a save of the world and pop into creative mode or something and try to force some spawns to test the theory anyway.

And I was suggest that you put it as close as you can to your base it would also make as much sense to also use some connecting blocks from your base that connect to elevator that when you set up a base on top of the ridge to also connect the elevator to that base and add a couple windmill farms up there as well to increase your power so you can add to more things you guys want to do That's what I would do if I was there playing with you guys although I'm just as better more muse to watching you guys be silly and everything. you know, I'm very surprised that they didn't try to make official train support. it would fit the game really well. maybe there are some technical difficulties ? or maybe they simply didn't think about it ?

      @@MadMavn I heard of them they're called emergency air or something like that in case your main tank runs out before you're able to surface.

    Why did you choose catwalks propulsion for the train, what is wrong with wheels on both sides? I think I missed that moment

    Did you manage to increase the atmospere height so ASSERT drones and ships can actually spawn outside the ravine?
    From my experiences, it is not that straightforward to just change the sandbox.sbc with modded planets, as for some settings such as AtmosphereTopModifier (which is the atmospere radius relative to the planet radius) the game will always apply the default values from the mod files, so you would need to republish the planet mod with tweaked settings.

    Why don't you give the train wheels that touch the rails instead of just one wheel in the middle? Would solve the issue of powering the train on slopes and curves. :o

    Hey i was wondering if the train could work with a gravity drive... and maybe you guys could make a space elevator then grave drive for ship? You could put limitation to make them less op like limiting the size or strenght?

      Another way for the train could be to add more section to it with wheel to make sure it always have contact with catwalk
