    The Cleer ARC's do have volume controls on the buds. Tap twice and hold, the right bud is volume up and the left bud is volume down. If you are only wearing one bud, you can no longer controls volume but all other controls are still in tact.

    Correction: the ARC’s do have the ability to control volume as you double tap and hold your finger down on the 2nd tap. The right earbud is volume down and the left earbud is volume up. You do lose this ability when only wearing one but all other functionality remains.

    As mentioned by someone in the comments, the oladances have a charging case which can give you at least a month of charge from my experience (90 hours I think). Their biggest flaw for me is that you have to increase their volume at the maximum when you are in noisy environments. But their sound quality is good and I consider them to be one of the best earphones on the market in terms of balance between comfort, sound and battery life.

    great review. I've been looking for a comparison to these two. I was considering these and the JLab Open Sport, which is what I ended up with due to the ability to attach them to your glasses. I'd really love to see a comparison of the Oladance to the JLab Open Sport. I can't help but think the sound quality of the Oladance is worth the extra $20 and worth the loss of the glasses attaching ability.

  • @davidmmuench
    @davidmmuench Рік тому +14

    I had the Oladance Open Ear Headphones for a couple of weeks and for the most part I really enjoyed them. During my workouts they stayed in place just fine, although as someone who has some hearing loss I had to crank the volume to max at the gym.
    Sitting in a quiet environment I didn't have to go full volume.
    They were very comfortable, even with glasses. Honestly it felt like I wasn't wearing earbuds.
    Unfortunately I had to return them because I was getting irritation at the top of my ears because of the band that connects the battery to the speaker.
    One thing that you didn't mention is that Oladance sells a separate charging case for $50 if you wanted a "smart" case that will charge your buds.

    • @garanceadrosehn9691

      @@DHRME - Well, here's my update.
      I'm very happy with the white Oladance open-ear earbuds that I bought. I don't know if the white color is inherently less likely to cause irritation than the blue version, but I haven't noticed the problems that David ran into. I will note that my skin does react badly to some chemicals that most people have no problem with, but that doesn't mean my skin would be sensitive to whatever chemicals are in the blue version and which caused trouble for David.
      They're not quite as comfortable as the Apple AirPods 3 (which I also have), mainly because I'm also wearing glasses all day long. They were a little uncomfortable when I first started wearing them, but I became used to them fairly quickly. My only real problem with the Apple AirPods 3 is that I have a lot of trouble where they keep falling out of my ears.
      Another area where the Oladance are a big win for me is that battery can keep playing for much longer than the AirPods.
      One area where the AirPods are much better is the multi-device pairing. I use the Oladance buds at work, and the AirPods 3 at home. With both sets of buds I want to be paired to both a Mac and an iOS device. That's effortless with the AirPods, but with the Oladance I have to explicitly switch which device I'm listening to. Luckily I it is very rare that have to make that switch more than once or twice a day.
      If I knew the Apple AirPods Pro 2 would stay in my ears, I'd love to try them out. I'm still thinking that I might buy a pair later this year, although first I want to buy a pair of the new 2nd-generation HomePods.

    On the fence whether or not I want to return them. But your review has not given me another option in the cleer
