Tony's glasses are mesmerizing with the lights reflecting. He should do all his videos with googly-eyes.
My unrequited love to them 👓
Look like xray glasses from comic books from my childhood
That was freaky !
He does
Uncle Tony's hypnotic garage
Merry Christmas Tony and the UTG family. The ring light reflection is hilarious. Harkens back to his hippy, psychedelic, punk, greaser phase...
I noticed the ring light to. Makes Tony look like he has some weird robot eyes.
This might actually be Tony's evil robot duplicate talking to us
Check what's in that 7/11 coffee😂
I can't decide if he looks like an alien or a robot.
@@tarstarkusz perhaps an alien robot! What were those called on Star Trek, Borg's or something?
Great reflection in your glasses Tony. The Terminator. "Come with me if you want your fuel pump to live."
That's not Uncle Tony - it's a cyborg!!!
PS: Merry Xmas to you and yours, mate! 🥳
Those eyes right? The reflection from his glasses freaked me out a little lol!
@@MikeBrown-ii3pt Like wow, daddy-O.
The reflection of the lights in your eyeglasses was psychedelic!
Tune in, Turn on, and Holley Mother, Drop Out 🤣
My Holley Red died with less than 5,000 miles on it, and it hadn't been sitting. In fact, it died in the midst of a long run at a national event. I went down to O'Reilly, bought a generic electric pump, installed it (by the side of the road), and drove on. It was so cheap, I bought a spare because I was sure it couldn't last. It was still on the car 15 years later when I sold it.
I am getting hypnotized by Uncle Tony’s glasses!
LOL. Love the hypno glasses!
I can't stop laughing. Looks like the Xray specs in the back of old magazine ads.
This message probably saved a bunch of motors from being hurt by high rpm lean out conditions when we bring our toys out in the warmer seasons.
Never lean out a engine from pump delivery if you have a gauge. Not only the gauge on the regulator but one you can read as you go thru the gears, especially high gear.
You bring yours out? I haven't in years...
I had stored one of those pumps once and the vanes seized on me. The next one I stored, I sprayed WD-40 in it and let it run for 20 seconds before storing it. 2 years later, it was still good to go. Merry Christmas Tony.
I use Marvel's oil.
Uncle Tony, I thought you were going to go full Ultra Man on us, with the reflection of that halo light in your glasses!😆
The ring light is awesome 👌
Merry Christmas UTG and family
Looks like a cartoon character
Great video! Good info! Chuckled at how well the florescent lights are reflected in your glasses.
What's Tony on, his eyes are lighting up.
Enjoy all your videos man , but that ring light bouncing off your glasses is killing me 😆 🤣! Thanks for all the great content!
Tony got new eyeballs for Xmas! Lol
Are those hypnotizing glasses, I don't feel like myself at the moment 😵💫
I have a sudden urge to buy an old Mopar.
Fuel conditioner Tony Amsoil makes a really good one for today's blended fuels. I mix a half gal heavy and run for couple of min before storage even if you drain its in there, ethanol is hell on mixed metal!
Your eyes are hypnotic.
After watching this video I suddenly had the urge to swisscheese the frame of my car and flip the pistons around! Anyone else get that hypnotic subliminal message in his eyes? Just wondering, now I need to go look for a slant for my Chevelle.
Great videos, but you should move your lights. You look like a robot due to the reflection of your lights, and it's hard to focus on what you're saying because of the way "you're looking at me." 🙂 Just a suggestion. I love how you are able to explain the mysterious issues of common carburetors.
That’s a pair of those mesmerizing glasses they used to advertise in the back of comic books, aren’t they, very effective. Merry Christmas to you Tony and Kathy, and to your family.
Woke up before everyone on Christmas morning, grabbed a coffee and checked in with UTG, great start to the day but those reflections in your magic seeing eye glasses freaked me out dude. Merry Christmas UT.
Marry Christmas humans
I was a little distracted by your terminator looking eyes😆 Great stuff though as always! Merry Christmas!
Tony, your one of the best! I love your level of detail and explanation. You save us all a lot of trial and error with your experiences. You are doing a great job. PS I love it when people say "Ask me how I know?"
Brought many old diesels back to life because they had vane lift pumps. In fact, my old ass vacuum pump is a vane. Its been stuck before but an easy fix.
One of those oversights that you explain perfectly. Thank you
Fortunately I stick with mechanical pumps and submerged electric pumps. Stabil and full gas tanks (I never let a metal tank sit empty for any length of time) work like a charm.
The internal pressure bypass has a sealing surface that goes as well. It will run but never build much if any pressure.
It's the same story with a vein drive impact tool, my Mac 3/8 and 1/2 impact both if they sit for a few months with a tiny bit of water going through the air system the veins will start to stick and the impact looses power and sounds different. Tear it apart clean up lube the veins and all is well
I had this problem with my first Holley pump. Great video. The reflection of the light in your glasses is awesome.
It's Christmas Day here in NZ and I haven't had a drink, but watching this makes me feel like I have.
Laurel, it's a big Halo👃olaH from Tennessee..To us Kiwis, it's trippy signed...the Other 🥝 Pickel 🥒 Sniffer 👃 Deano 😁👍🫡
The reflection in your glasses! Lmao! That’s no Tony. That’s the Tonynator! Run!!! Lol
Thank you Tony,
UTG T-shirt for my son (72' Demon Alaska) arrived today just in time for Christmas
I love it , he will too
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
I did this just a couple days ago. It was exactly like Tony’s experience. Something I did also was flip the vanes around backwards cause their faces were worn but the other side still looked decent.
dont the vanes usually have a round outer edge and a flat inner edge? or is that not how the holleys are made
@@Videoswithsoarin that’s what I was expecting to find also but these were the same on both sides I looked at some replacement kits and they don’t show it being directional so maybe this pump has had its guts replaced before and the original stuff is directional.
I have had that problem many times. Got to the point I kept a spare on hand to swap out when needed then rebuilt the one I removed and it became the spare. Because the Holley sounded like someone hammering on the frame with a 20 pound sledge I switched to Mallory pumps because it had 6 vanes and only sounded like a 2 pound ball peen hammering on the frame. Funny part is I don't remmember having the rust problem with the Mallory pumps. I do rememmber the hub and vanes were shinier that the Holley. Wonder if they were stainless or just coated.
ahahahah, Tony, that reflection in your glasses , of your round production light, looks so funny! You've got these 2 white round circles in your glasses! Ahhahahah
Merry Christmas Tony and Kathy. God bless you!
Had the same thing happen to me but on an Arctic Cat quad. Left it sitting for the summer and in the fall, no start. Tore the old pump apart and it was all rusty like yours. Now, every few days, I just click the key on, hear the pump cycle and shut off, and turn the key off. I now only use ethanol-free gas in all my toys. Merry Christmas to you, your family and all your friends. Best Regards - Mike
Another great video Tony and another reason I use ethanol free petrol
Dude! You are a Godsend!!! I am so grateful to you for putting this on YT!!!! '70 GTO sat for a year (after I wrecked it). Just finished body and went to bring her back to life... no fuel pressure :( Changed filter, dropped tank, checked sending unit and failed! You have saved the day brother! I am your newest lifetime subscriber.
happy chrishaunakwanze family. am i the only one seeing the comedy cartoon reflections in uncle tonys glasses? i keep seeing those swirly reflections
Thanks U.T., I’ve got the Holley Blue on my Nova and had no clue about this issue. Very good to know this now!
I like to put an bottle of 2strokes oil in my rank, and prevents lots of problems. its not near to an appropiate ratio, but I believe it helps
Happy Holidays Uncle Tony and Uncle Kathy. your videos are appreciated
I love the light in your specticles. I approve.
Uncle terminator's garage
Great informative video as usual Tony. Love the psychedelic eyes!!
The ring light giving Tony googly eyes is hilarious! Good info on the pump as well.
Very helpful video.
Fixed my fuel pump for the cost of a piece of sandpaper.
Awesome job
The light reflection off your glasses makes you look like a cross between the Terminator and the Cookie Monster. Maybe it looks like Disney drew your eyes. Either way, always great video's from you Tony. Thanks
I can't look away from the glasses.
Neat effect even though it was unintended.
Tony's eyes look possessed! Lol
Digging those binocular eyeballs!
Lol, Tony loving the halo reflection in your glasses. Wow what a trip🤣👍
Most new pumps are in the tank, but without use I find they to will seez up, thanks for the tip's, all the best to yous and your loved ones
So much knowledge on this channel. Thanks Tony.
Had a red pump fail me after 30 years. The epoxy holding the magnets to the case failed and they stuck to the armature. I re-epoxied them and got another 3 years out of it. Installed that pump in 1987, I have the receipt, I'm pretty sure that I got my money's worth.
I had one on my truck I hated how loud it was when it did what your saying I replaced it with a Carter that's same style and it was so quiet except the wire connectors have tension springs in the cap and just slide over a knurled stud no nuts or bolts and the like to fall off. Last 2 times they fell off one time at an intersection the other on side of a busy road with a very narrow area off the road so I wrapped electrical tape around them and never bothered to fix it.
Ethanol is the problem, when ethanol evaporates it leaves behind Sugar it is usually green in color and it kills a lot of engines due to the leftover fuel evaporating and gluing the moving parts together.
Have a Merry CHRISTmas Tony! You gotta watch this video yourself. You have hypnotizing eyes when the light is right! Look cool though
thank you. I went threw 2 Holley before I gave up and went bake to a cheap Carter fuel pump .
Great little video here. I haven’t had an issue with my Holley red yet, but if I had I would have just bought another. Thanks for the tip Tony!
I'm learning alot from Uncle Tony Thanks!
"My Uncle Tony, what big eyes you have...." Lol, Merry Christmas UTG and family!
Just a side note Tony, I have recently discovered that a solution of 6% vinegar solution in water at a 4 to 1 ratio ( 1 part vinegar) dissolves rust very very well.
Excellent for cast iron, when finished the metal is totally clean and even has a 'freshly cast look ' to it.
Almost no scrubbing, and will safely clean iron or steel in moments. Also being a mild acid, it will etch the metal for a good surface for painting.
Cheap too.
Love your channel
I always spend the extra like 20 bucks for the black pumps. Never had a problem with them. You can also add some stabilizer to your gas if the car will sit for a while.
I must have changed out a couple hundred lift pumps on the Cummins 24v /isb engines used in school buses in the early 2000s.
It was called the 0504 campaign and those lift pumps going bad would take out a 2500$ injector pump.
I kept like 20 or 30 of em for my car ,they were a decent lift pump for my 79mk1 TDI swapped VW rabbit.
I'd say 3/4 of em would flow but have no pressure.
I'm pretty sure some folks got the boot for that mistake.
Uncle Tony aka the Great Mesmer .... 'must buy 60's hot rods'......Love it!😁 Happy Christams Tony & uncle Kathy!
Like the way light is reflecting off your glasses. Merry Christmas
The light ring reflection on the glasses is trippy.
I love the groovy new glasses.
Merry Christmas from Down under 🎅.
I always run a gallon of 25:1 two stroke fuel through the hole system then shut it down once you see a little smoke coming out of the exhaust system.
The best way to store them
I knew what it was the instant I seen the title. Been there.
Merry Christmas UTG! Thanks for a great year.
Everybody Loves Hypnotoad!
The lights in Tony's eyes! Merry Christmas UTG!
Yes, groovy light illumination reflection effect. Love the channel, Tony.
Merry Christmas, Man.
Super informative! Thanks Tony
5:14 The reflection on the glasses are making you look like an alien!!! Hilarious. Merry Christmas Uncle Tony!
Uncle Tony: Battle Angel!
LoL at 5:51.... "Ask Me How I Know"
"I mostly just knows about possums." MERRY CHRISTMAS.
Merry Christmas to you and your family Uncle Tony!
I just bought my third Holley black pump. This time it was an electrical issue, the soldering came loose on the inside, and I couldn’t successfully re-solder it.
I’ve had red, blue, and a handful of black pumps over the past 30 years.
Overall, they’re OK, but I can never seem to get more than five years out of one. I run racing fuel, perhaps that is why.
Lmao best lighting effect ever, you sly ole feller, that was no accident
Merry Christmas Tony and Kathy, i appreciate you guys being around and all the knowledge you've laid on us over the years. I look forward to that continuing for quite some time hint hint.
We use a red pump at work pumping out diesel in tanks that have def and fuel contamination on Cummins trucks or any other time we have to drain a tank. Good little pumps
Plenty of inexpensive additives can take care of that... And Premium gas usually helps fight that even though it has ethanol alcohol in it. Problem is, ethanol breaks down within 30 days. Must use all fuel within (tank) 30 days or add additives. I recommend 104+ products..... Cheers. PS- a little WB40 works in the gas also.
Good info pertaining to these fuel pumps. Oh man, the lighting position makes Tony's glasses look funny as all hell, like he's got "lit up eyes". Another lesson learned pertaining to lighting positions for shooting video, lol.
Been there done that, cool c-3po eyes the lighting gave you
The blue jacket, the reflection of the ring light in your eyes, looked like cookie monster was telling me about fuel pumps. Keep up the great videos. Merry Christmas!
great impression of a Holley pump sound. You need loud exhaust to cover it up!
Hypnotized! Help what happened?
Merry Christmas and thanks for great info.
Thanks for the info Tony.
Just a fun observation...The light reflects in your glasses like the intro of the twilight zone. LOL.
Invasion of the Tony snatchers!
UT has Johnny 5 eyes
