Colored mood bars had some amusing mod drama last year sometime. I recall at one point someone made a forked mod that claimed to be a more "efficient" version of the mod. As in, it didn't cause lag. Apparently the original mod creator took this as a challenge based on some comments they made, and they released an update/revamp. Also, did you see that the creator of Combat Extended created a new game based on their Rimworld mod called Ascent of Ashes? I had thought the creators of SoS 2 and Orion's Hospitality also made their own games but I can't remember them without looking them up.
To be fair, modding games is a logical pipeline to game development
Based on some comments on AA's Stardeus video, it was apparently made by the dev of SOS2
The Surgeon Job mod splits out the surgery task out into its own priority category allowing you to prioritize sugery differently from general doctoring tasks. Doctors under level 10 don't generally do surgeries in my priority lists.
Several that need to download.. been itching to find some new qol as an excuse to restart so the reminder to figure out colony manager is a blessing

Just want to say that I love your video Noobert, you and your team do a fantastic job, keep up the good work. I also wanted to tell you about; [KV] Save Storage, Outfit, Crafting, Drug, & Operation Settings (1.4). I use it in all my play throughs. It allows you to set up storage templates and you'll be able to use it those templates in all your play throughs.
Just set up what you want in any of your stockpile or dumping zones, hit save, give it a name and next zone you set up just hit load template and your done. No more scrolling for ages ticking each box. It saves so much time if you use lots of mods.
I apologize if you have already mentioned this one before, but it really is a QOL improvement.

13:35 although Colored Deep Resources is nice I prefer DDI-Deep Drill Indicator. It shows the resources by their icons at a glance

That cherry pick mod would be amazing for making a true "era" playthrough. Only swords and bows like the Romans? Take away all the high tech stuff. Maybe we go Old West, so just revolvers and lever action rifles. Great sounding mod. I'll have to download it.
Pretty sure there are some mods already limiting tech level in a playthrough. Cherrypicking everything industrial+ will take forever.

I still need to try to make a fallout style playthrough. With the toxic waste additions I wanting to make it so gas masks were essential. But idk if the ai, meaning other factions, are smart enough to act around such a run. But, im sure there are mods and stuff for that.
if your map is infested with enough toxic waste ai factions will always spawn with masks on

Amazing list but a little nitpick on my part for a QoL mod list recommendation. A QoL link for them in the description would have been nice. Love the vid tho I didnt know I NEED more mods
I was disappointed there wasn't one in the discrimination or as a pinned comment.
Grow zone mod is a vastly inferior version of the TD Enhancement pack. Similarly, LTOColony groups is much more useful than color-coded mood bars.
Weird choice of QoL mods. Some good, a lot are kind of 3rd tier QoL, with some big ones missing completely.
i wish a lot of qol mods would be integrated into the rimworld game
On the "'Number's" mod it also allows to quickly manage you're prisoners

3:44 Good old work tab already has this option [edit after 3 months, complex jobs is much simpler/cleaner to setup]
td enhancement pack helps a lot with seting up areas & farms , and much more.

- Ready those guns is said to be a better version of "keep mortars ready"
- Path avoid is quite useless, most its showcased uses is pointless, pawns avoided traps for years by themself

bruh there are a lot of QoL mods that I've forgotten are not base game, that when I do a fresh install hits me like a truck,
like the designator shapes ,drag select, and dubs mint menus. it is the little things that make this game such a breeze
I use both VFE Ancients and wall lights, But I use Cherry Picker to remove the VFE wall lights because I prefer the look of the lights from the wall lights mod.
I Also use Cherry Picker to remove the solar flare event, I just don't like solar flares. A bad timed solar flare during a raid ended my solar mechanitor run :(

I didn't even know some of these mods weren't vanilla.
there's a mod that improve the game tabs like, when you select food to make, or when you are editing a scenario and shows the huge amount of options that's completly deorganized

Nay unfortunately. For a mod like that it would be easier to make a whole new game.
