    I want to thank you for your additional effort doing this. I know how intense the work on splash arts are and to record them takes some of your freedom away. So I am realy glad you show us your process and for me its so so helpful to improve my own splashs :) Additionaly I would like some versions with audio commentary, tips, shortcuts ect. Not for free of course ;)

    Hello sir,i have a question.If i want to be a professional illustrator working with game studios,should i be mainly using photoshop?.I've heard a lot of people saying that i should use photoshop as it is the industry standard.But what if i am experienced with other programs like CSP?

    • @deivcalviz
      @deivcalviz  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Bang! CSP is also good. Any software is actually good! You should focus more on the output.
      Some professionals even use procreate with ipad for work. It doesnt really matter so long as you are able to do the work in a high quality.
      The reason people use photoshop more is simple because it was one of the first available painting software out there. Also, photoshop has cool editing features that some might not have but I think CSP is almost as good as PS so dont worry about it!

    Is it usual to use 700 layers when making a splash art?

    • @deivcalviz
      @deivcalviz  3 роки тому

      No, it is not usual. The usual is around 100-200 layers. The end product usually has less than 100 layers when things are merged. Other artists use far less layers.
      I don't think the 700 number is accurate. Sometimes photoshop adds on the number of layers when I am mixing different PSDs together. Might be a bug or something. There was even a time when layer numbers jumped to 2000 which was strange.. XD
