You're like...the perfect channel I've been looking for all this time. Actively posts long process videos of Splash Arts, even answering questions, inspiring, hold on I might be dreaming- 😭💍💕
I'm not even an illustrator nor I understand what are you doing in this videos but I find this process so relaxing to watch. So, thank you so much for not cutting much of the painting process!! Keep going with the hard but super awesome work!
I just found your channel and I have to say this is one of my fav skin lines from Riot, so seeing you work on this made my day! Thanks for uploading the entire process. It's super informative and cool to watch!
I want to thank you for your additional effort doing this. I know how intense the work on splash arts are and to record them takes some of your freedom away. So I am realy glad you show us your process and for me its so so helpful to improve my own splashs :) Additionaly I would like some versions with audio commentary, tips, shortcuts ect. Not for free of course ;)
Thanks! Yeah there are some limitations when recording this like i cant open up other images in my screen, the pc will slightly be slower, some crashes in between, etc. Im planning to do a splash art tutorial but it will take a while because im still busy with other priorities. For now, these will do. 😁
i have a ton of knowledge now about photoshop!............... yet i have to wait to grow up to get a drawing tablet xD btw riot will never regret hiring you to do this
@@deivcalviz I will probably! Just trust God, is it okay if I ask some questions? Not a bunch but here it is! Thx for the nice video! These help me a lot during my painting process. But how did you open the second monochrome window in PS? I can't find it and it'd be really useful to use.
Frist Press: Window >Arrange>New window for "your filename" Now that there are two windows.. press this: View>Proof setup >Custom>Dot gain 20% One will be gray and one has color and both will update at the same time.
Awesome piece like always what can i say, btw i would like to know what layer mode do you use on the grayscale as i tryed to get it on 0.25 speed but i dont get to see it rigth, i would like to try that coloring method. Thnxxxx, this piece is fire
Hello sir,i have a question. If i want to be a professional illustrator working with game studios, should i be mainly using photoshop?.I've heard a lot of people saying that i should use photoshop as it is the industry standard. But what if i am experienced with other programs like CSP?
Hi Bang! CSP is also good. Any software is actually good! You should focus more on the output. Some professionals even use procreate with ipad for work. It doesnt really matter so long as you are able to do the work in a high quality. The reason people use photoshop more is simple because it was one of the first available painting software out there. Also, photoshop has cool editing features that some might not have but I think CSP is almost as good as PS so dont worry about it!
I use XP pen arrist pro 24 for this piece. For the splashes older than Kalista, i used wacom intuos 3. So that shows its not really about the tools too much. 😁

How did you made that red tone shine up like that at 4:00, is it just a red coat with low opacity over the grayscale finnish ?
Its a curves layer with specular highlights painted as masks on top of the flat colors.

Can you get this kinda quality just using procreate on ipad?
Id say it is possible but not as crisp as this because of the layer limitations.
