I feel like it's a missed opportunity to not have it do a random status ailment that Yaldabaoth does, for example, lust or hunger. Because those are based off of the 7 deadly sins, and Sinful Shell is made of the 7 deadly sins. (according to the P5 description)
Well, i think they didn't choose that because ailments like lust and hunger weren't a thing in the og Persona 3. However, it wouldn't have been so bad for it inflict an ailment or two (like fear).
I will tell you why it's probably like this. This is probably a copy paste of Death flys, Beelzebub signature move in the mainline seires which is a slightly stronger Megidoleadon (except for SMT V where it is Dark) with either 100% or 50% to dark insta kill. So basically the exact same move.
@@GabyEzePereiraHow about Massive Almighty with debilitate effect 3 turns for all foes. Debilitate happens before damage calculation in that single turn so it always does extra damage.
Kind of seems like sinful shell barely edges out morning star, but not certain as the enemies used for both megi and morning were different from sinful.
Power of each of them according to the fusion calculator: Megidoloan - √690 power Morning Star - √850 power Sinful Shell - √700 power, 50% Dark instakill There's also Black Viper, but it's only on Satan and can't be fused off of him. It's also only single target, so it's not affect by multi target boost. Black Viper - √1000 power
For black viper you could just add single target boost together with almighty boost+amp for the strongest almighty attack in the game bar armageddon. Bosses are mostly single target anyway. Multi target are for mobs. But almighty attacks will still be outclassed by physical attack aka scarlet havoc which can crit while ignoring resistances
Seeing Morning Star still being a transferable skill brings a smile to my face. My original P3FES run I made a thanatos with Morning Star and Brave Blade and 20 buffs. Seeing that not only they added Almighty Boost and Amp to the game but new Multi-targest buffs as well makes me really excited to mke over that thanatos and replace Brave Blade with Vorpal Blade for him instead
Single target skills are usually stronger than the multi target versions I think. Like Agi does more damage but Maragi does less but can hit all enemies.
Even without Country Maker it will still do more damage than Black Viper, Morning Star, Sinful Shell, and Rebellion Blade (on a non-downed foe). P5R Myriad Truths are just that strong, even when compared to the Almighty skills in P3R which got massive boost in base power.
From what I've found online, there are still some unique skills that can't be inherited by any other demons, mostly DLC ones and a select few from the base game, like Die for Me!, Maralagidyne, Black Viper, Heaven's Blade and Pralaya. I'm still not sure about the four single target severe elemental skills or Samsara tho, maybe someone can help here in this regard
@@Akaishu294 I just checked in Portable (had to grind a bit of money lol), and this is the case there, skill at base, skill card at lv86, but not able to pass it down to, in my test, Baal Zebul, who does get Maragidyne from Niddhogr. If you were gonna do a damage comparison why not do it on the reaper?
5 mins idle to summon him isn't exactly pleasant
Reaper takes too long to spawn and, in my experience, has a higher dodge rate for Almighty.
