I just found my lost childhood collection and surprise, a Neon Green Goblin and a Neon purple Triton where there between the other 40ish. Perfect, clean. Still didn’t decide if keep or sell.
Had them all back in 92 among with the monster mountain. Got them all from Joseph's in UK. Dosn't exist now. Them rare ones your on about got a re-release in 2001 for the whole set including gold aswell. My original mountain for them has torn apart through the years but have them all in a massive tub box.. I might clean these back up since you mentioned their worth. I had the game and got the Konami monster too but its real name begins with a G... this is old stuff.... the monster on the front of the Nintendo cover. I can't believe people are still trying to collect them. Was always exciting to open up a pack of these and to see what you got. Nice memories.
Awesome stuff! Yeh the re-release you talk about that included gold figures was an Italian release that was made by a different company than the matchbox originals. Sculpt quality wasn’t as good unfortunately. The whole MIMP line is still mega popular and prices are higher than ever.
Great video! Definitely agree with the theory about the Neon colours being rare based on whether or not they were produced in the standard colours. I noticed this to be the case when collecting. All Neon Yellow 25 point monsters I would rate as some of the most difficult to find based on my experience.
I had every one they produced at one time. Adult me wishes I could go back and grab all the star wars, he man, and monsters in my pockets from younger me.
Just checked. I have about 16 characters. 1 green gremlin is between them. My green trol with many heads and club in green is traded or stolen or lost. Sad. But can get an orange 1. Friggin amazing collection you have. Sooooooo cooooool wow!!!! Please remember me if you want to sell a few.
There’s no such thing as black figures for Matchbox series 1. You must have foreign figures and these aren’t the same. My video is referring to the original figures as released by Matchbox.
@@bigburtystoyshowcasing3815 I have got a black mad scientist that is not a sonric or one of those dodgy shaped happy meal figures from America, I can't remember where I got it from but it was abroad, I diddnt realise darker colours bled into others though, that's handy to know.
