- From the 05/31/1953 episode of the Colgate Comedy Hour. In this episode, Dean and Jerry go to a penny arcade, and Dean is Jerry's father. In a later sketch, Jerry is a new steward on a plane piloted by Dean. Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis also make guest appearances.
"Between Dean, Jeanne, Patti and I..." A foursome joke on tv in 1953, lol. jerry sure knew how to sneak em in there.
Always love their dancing lots of fun. This skill got left behind later but they were great.
I guess Patti in the show sang a solo, as well as a duet with Jerry. Apparently there are unedited full dvd sets of the CCH with the songs and other stuff not cut out, but it wasn't sold in stores. That boxset seems to be still available on ioffer.com.
Dean was SO funny in the pilot sketch and the dancing was AMAZING :D
I wonder if you have footage of Patti because at the beginning, it said she was a guest :o
Rest In Peace Jerry :(
Unfortunately I don't. I'm assuming she was one of the musical guests on the show, and in this boxset they unfortunately edited out most of the musical guests and Dean's songs. :( Fortunately I have another boxset with musical numbers included but this episode isn't in there. I'm a little sad that it didn't show Patti as well.
Dean: The Nose Of The Ship Jerry: The Nose? Dean:Yeah We Are Using My Old One XD XD Lol Love You Dino
Badly written scripts made funny by the adlibs.
oh ok, i'll check there! thanks
Jesse James....outlaw....hanged
Martin is the better dancer
Dean is a good dancer, but I would have to say Jerry is the better dancer, and is a better performer when he dances. If you watch the dance sequences in Living it Up and You're Never Too Young you'll see how good a performer and dancer he can be. This segment where they dance with the Step Brothers is just the both of them fooling around dancing.
"How's the kid?" *bashes baby's head into the wall*
Can anyone explain the jesse james bit?
