I thought for sure Dodger's secret weapon was gonna be to completely ignore Chathulhu because that would make Him powerless. But "there's just a sword lying around" works too. :D
You know, if you think about it, Jesse being the one possessed by chathulu actually makes sense. Unlike other streamers, with a monthly subscription to use the body, Jesse had but a one time possession fee.
Real talk, this is the only RollPlay I've ever watched from start to finish. And I'm not just talking about one shots, I mean *any* RollPlay series. Well done, Jesse and crew!
Next in cultists with cox: watch our heroes stop the World Ending Adpocalypse via the mighty rift in Time and Space traveling Crew of Old Rex and some Animals from an old Furniture Provider
I like to think the scene after the cliffhanger ending the txt from JP to Crendor was "Hey Eric, can't wait to see you all you guys at this Christmas party to have a fun end of year celebration, see you when you get here man" revealing that hey, it was just some sort of fucked up dream and all is fine with the world, it is our four travellers who might have been corrupted by an old god.
Thoroughly enjoyed this whole thing! Totally awesome! You really need to do more of these Jesse. :D I'm just a little confused still as to what pokkets role was... I much prefer all players to have an active part in the story and what not.
this was cute! i feel like the largest problems came when jesse was trying to give hints as dm and the others were intent on doing other things. which -- im not sure if that's just 'jesse needs more dm exp' or 'this group needs to pay better attn to jesse's comments' but im glad by the end they had it more or less shaken out and got into a better grove :))
I think it's a little more railroading than being lenient. It can be hqrd to advance the plot if the rolls impede the action. It's also a bit metagamey to hint. That's part of the reason it's ignored but another is suspicion that a GM is trying to fuck you over. And your right it took them all time to feel each other out and find their groove. Getting a feeling that some of these One Shots are like backdoor pilot style auditions for Rollplay. If that really is the case than Jesse obviously passed with flying colours.
Really glad that Jesse know his Old Gods. The ending was relevant, yet noone ended up in an asylum, that is non-canon-pg13-stuff-over-there-Lovecraft-would-disapprove. I wanted to Pokket end up crazy and the rest ones have already been sacrifised to the Chathulu.
But the real mystery remains unsolved; Did anyone go back to pay the bill at Jebediah's?!
That whole thing... was amazing. Thank you Jesse, thank you everyone for this masterpiece of holiday cheer

Well done, Jesse and crew!
This was one of my favorite shows. I would like to see more rollplays where they have to rollplay themselves or caricatures of themselves.
That fade out at the end was amazing
Sword? Why is it not a ban hammer?
because mods have a sword icon on twitch
MAN I would have loved to have been in Chat-thulu for this. Such a great story. Love it, Jesse!
I've just realized...
This RollPlay is Christmas tabletop version of Until Dawn :P
That mod sword move was fucking genius. GG Dodger, Good Goof
The real end boss was Pokket’s ambulance ride bill.
This was an amazing show , Cant wait to see more of Jesse Cox as a DM on Rollplay. Great job to all of you.
just watched it all again. still great and cant wait for more GM Cox
Next in cultists with cox: watch our heroes stop the World Ending Adpocalypse via the mighty rift in Time and Space traveling Crew of Old Rex and some Animals from an old Furniture Provider
I hope they make another one of these.
shoutout to dodger's great speeches
It would be awesome (but really impractical) to have this acted out with all the people kind of as a drama.
THIS WAS SOOOOOOOOO CRAZY CRAY CRAY BANANA !!!!!
The moment when the jungle came it was the perfect time to end it there Just like a TV show XD
7:59 - possibly the greatest moment in Cox bullshittery? :D
I love the symbolism of the large mass of hatred and eyes are the viewers. im looking at you comment section
That new overlay though lol
Lmao aww man poor Zeke

great time. happy christmas
That good ol' Cox
Love the outro song
Plot sword
This would be a awesome movie just to see Jesse & Crendor shooting & fighting with people.
Also couldnt they have just ignored Chat to kill it? Haha
Great stuff I gotta say
Should have used the ban hammer. Great job Jesse
Fuck me, can't Zeke catch a break even once? How unlucky can a person be? I thought I had it bad…
Holy shit is Pokket a fucking robot?
WTF WTF WTF WTF WTF wTF I loved this so much
tfw you try to kill off chat but you can't kill it because it provides your income.

For a first time, he did bloody amazing though
He's a bit too lenient though, I agree.

Jesse needs to learn the most basic fundamentals of firearms, not knowing them could cost his life.
it did cost him
Why would Sam fucking eat on stream? Christ.
Probably picked it up from Dooger
FEED US!!!
that was awesome.
