For the life of me I don't understand why Pride, Dream and Rizin (both Winning & Isami) are so difficult to get a hold of, they could be making a killing off selling those. Hell, fighters would probably start training in them over lower quality gloves, prompting them to be adopted by other orginizations, upping their sales even more. It'd be great if the green Rizin gloves were made by Winning, still retaining their top of the line construction, even if Isami still comes in close second. I really like the changes they've made, nothing against the classic blue but I love the fresh look of the new green gloves. Getting rid of the wrist padding although technically a downgrade, again I think it gives it a fresh look and it still wasn't that vital a feature to begin with. The new finger holders, as well as the trimmed down neoprene I think are unquestionably upgrades. However I think getting rid of the lacing was a terrible idea. The lacing was so classy, as well with matching the ring they fight in, not to mention it being better for long term use as it won't wear out. I don't see why the added convienence of just being able to slip the gloves on is that important if they are getting their hands professionally wrapped anyways.
Trust me, everyone feels that way! I wish they were easier to find so I could train in them too... But I do like the fact that they are so rare and collectible too.
While I like the look of the green Isami gloves, I do not like the new finger hole system. I liked the open palm of the Pride gloves. Sure, fingers slipped out...but it wasn't THAT often. Maybe one or two times an event..and always seemed to be in the same fight. So maybe the guy had small fingers or his gloves were too big. Anyway...while I haven't tried the new Rizin gloves, I don't like the new finger stall..mostly because of the bar that runs below the finger stalls that essentially connects them all. I've had gloves with a similar system and when you make a fist, you feel like you are grasping something. Kind of like old bag gloves that used to be so popular. I also liked the feel of the open palm with the Pride gloves. They were the perfect glove, imo.
Thank you for these cool insights, mate. As a total newbie to the martial arts world and as a genuinely curious person, I found these gloves as a very interesting piece of equipment. Plus, the throwback to the stepping stones of the mma world. KEEP EM COMIN', wanna see the full collection! CHEERS!
Weird how he still has it up for sale, i'm guessing you did the sale outside of ebay? I did that with my pride gloves. Ended up getting a msg from ebay a cpl months after, saying not to do that or i will get in trouble lol. When they sent that message, i think i did it four times that same week, they never messaged me again. Ebay fees suck for the seller, so they price things high, much better buying outside of ebay. I should make a dummy ebay account :)
Correct. The unfortunate thing, is that Winning never directly sold any Pride/Dream/Rizin gloves. All of them were sold through the promotion or given to fighters.
I did see the gloves on the product catalog though at one point months ago. But then again, I never did put the gloves in the cart... Well I did hear back from Winning yesterday, saying that the gloves are now discontinued. :/
Those Rizin gloves are so nice.
2019 pride gloves
Very nice gloves. Congrats dude. Collection is growing :)

Ouano made those gloves too. Winning only uses that white stitching as far as I know
Got damn those are beautiful!!! Nice pick up man
Those look easy nicer than ufc gloves
Hey, quick question. Are you selling these on ebay? Seems like there's the exact same pair for sale. 850 US
That is the pair I snagged. The seller obviously is waiting for the auction to expire.

Haha yeah basically. Ebay make enough to miss out here and there :)
Anyone else think this guy look a lil bit like Alexander Gustafsson?
It seems like Winning no longer sells these sort of gloves on their English and Japanese websites. :(

Maaaaaaan! Was the catalog emailed? I would love to see it, even if discontinued.
No I just saw the gloves on the Winning USA website.
