I know we can't take the old books in for the exam but do they change very much from year to year so that we couldn't go ahead and start studying an old one?

From my experience there is no drastic change. Just some updates for anything that may have changed within the last year. I see no harm in starting your studying efforts from the old book but would recommend purchasing a new current one.

Hi Cristy! I have found your videos extremely helpful while studying for the exam. I just took it on Sept. 30 and was wondering if it really takes 6 weeks to get the results? Thanks!

Hi! Good question! Yes, for me it took exactly 6 weeks. Maybe something may change in the future, but I’ve been keeping up with the time frames over the last few years too and I have seen it still taking that long. That is probably the worst part 😫 So glad to hear my videos have been helpful for you. Good luck!!! 😊

@@Butterfly-ye7bs hi! Thanks for following my videos! To start it depends on where you are on the journey. You’ll need to purchase an official study guide from the SOS website if you don’t have one or have made plans to get the 2025 version already. This link has a lot of that info: www.sos.la.gov/NotaryAndCertifications/BecomeALouisianaNotary/Pages/default.aspx. If you didn’t buy a 2024 version and aren’t already lined up for the first exam in 2025, I’d recommend waiting until the latest version of the study guide comes out sometime in January. I’d also recommend following my latest videos. I have several that follow the same context in the study guide and some sample quizzes. I also have an app called Louisiana Notary Intelligence available on apple if you have an iPhone. I’m in the process of getting certified as an education provider and I’m actively putting together some affordable courses. If you may be interested keep following for those updates I’ll be dropping soon. For being an online notary, there are some extra simple steps, but first you must pass the exam and get commissioned. I hope this helps.

Did you pass the first time? I’ve heard the passing rate is super low for this exam. Thanks your videos are very helpful

It took me two attempts. I passed on the 2nd try. I’m glad my videos are helping. Let me know if you’d like to see anything specific 🤗
