Actually people aren't understanding the difference between using reference as a practice and using reference as an official work (which includes paid commissions, portfolios for work etc other official means). In order to get to the certain standard of creativity, one needs to practice a lot of references, be it copy work, cause that time you are just a beginner. Now if one includes these copy works with title of "professional artist" is something doesn't do QUIET the justice to actual fine artists. I am not saying realism works are not art, it of course needs a lot of patience and talent, specially colour realism, they are so amazing. But idhar beginner artists ki baat hori who make realistic portraits/sketches and haven't explored more, visual art is very vast and as a beginner one has to explore and strengthen their creativity, you cant just stick to realism time being.
Di as you told about satisfaction so i wanna ask you something actually I'm from commerce stream ( which i really hate, I've taken it because of my stupidity) but now i realised I don't wanna pursue it so should i change my stream after 12th as i want to pursue bfa ?? Please give me some advice
Hello I'm 23 and have done my graduation in maths I started feeling depressed whenever I used to study I started doing some sketches in March 2023 and then moved on to some paintings... I love doing these very much ... I felt alived after a very long time... .... Is this a enough reason to go for bfa? Should I prepare for bfa entrance (I know its verry tough) or should I go for private clg (that's too expensive) or should I continue my study and do drawing in free time only

You can take diplomas in painting khi se bhi seekho agr seekhna pasand hai toh nhi toh BFA ki tayari kro agar time h aapke pass toh BFA kro govt se
